TS has won the starting job and will hold onto it unless he completely falls apart (not likely) or gets injured.

I'm gonna say no controversy for QB2 just because I think they want to preserve a Redshirt for KR.

Maybe that's a consideration, or maybe not. I hope what we saw last week becomes a regular feature to get the 2s and 3s some playing time!

I kind of took it to mean, QB controversy for 2nd and 3rd spots and not 1st team. To me that is where there could be some shuffling later on.

Right, but again that would be a controversy between 1 and 2. It's simply not the same when you're talking about 2 and 3. Ty is the starter, and quite frankly, it's not close.

It's like when a bunch of people said "FSU is a trap game for Bama". It's literally impossible to have a trap game in the first game of the year...

I underestimated how badly people don’t want to give Ty his flowers.

He was sensational and has earned this opportunity.

Mac completed 19 straight vs Tenn in 2020 but he also had incompletions that bookended the streak.

I think what they were trying to say was that Ty set a record for consecutive completions to start a game and finish with a perfect 100% Comp%

I knew there would be some fans that would hate him no matter what because of…non-football reasons. However, the crap people gave him after the FSU game shocked me. Like, did they watch the game?

Just my opinion, but the 3 QB's we saw Saturday looked like better options than last years starter.

There were 6 former or current bama QBs who looked like better options this Saturday than last years starter - 3 at Bryant Denny, Sayin, Holstein and Lonergan, although I think I like the 3 we have now more than Lonergan and Holstein. Sayin would probably push the three we have though.

I've been amazed at the number of fans on Facebook chanting Russell. They seem to think he's the next coming of Tua, or something. They say the FSU game would have gone different, had they pulled Ty out and played Russell. Russell did OK, but Ty was the clear #1 QB.

Ty's record is completing all his pass attempts, which was 17. Mac completed 19 in a row but had incompletions as well. It was in 2020, but not which game. According to what I read.
Found it. He completed his last 8 against Georgia, then his first 11 against Tennessee. They weren't in the same game. LOL That shouldn't count.
