If you live to be 90 you had a pretty good run.

My wife was on the soccer team during his tenure as AD.

He had the athletic department provide all the players with what my wife called "white granny underpants." Apparently he and some others were mortified after they realized that you could see some of the players' colored underwear through their white shorts.

She did say that in the limited contact she had with him, that he was a very nice man.

I remember him coming in as AD after Steve Sloan.

Two athletic directors we have lost in last couple of months, and two great ambassador's for the University of Alabama RIP
