I'm going to be in Chicago next week (Aug 2nd to Aug 5th) with 15 guys for a bacholer party. Most are Gator grads, and some others, but I am an Alabama Alum. We will be at the Cubs game on Friday. If we come your way after the game, what can you do for me? Careful, we can do some damage..

You'll just miss our August happy hour as well as the monthly SEC happy hour at another bar. And I'll actually be out of town on vacation, but still stop by the Tooth. The bar is lots of fun after Cubs games due to it's proximity to Wrigley (look for the Bama flag hanging outside). And you'll feel right at home with the banner and pictures on the wall (and I wouldn't be surprised if you run into a few other Bama fans). That's about all I can offer...so there's your excuse to come back during the season and join us for $2 drinks in our custom made Bama/Houndstooth mugs.

We watch all the games each season and have a happy hour the first week of each month.

I always thought I was making out when "Happy Hour" lasted from 4 til 6.

But this... this is great. I can see the logic in only doing it the first week of each month, though. Everyone probably needs the rest of the month to recover.

When I was in Chicago three seasons ago, I watched the games in a place owned by a Florida Grad. It was two stories and had T.V.s EVERYWHERE. I dont remember the name of the place, but it was on the north side, in the area known as the 'ware house district' (or something like that, all the bars looked to be in old warehouses or something).

Wish I'd of known about the Houndstooth, I would have much rather gone there

well, thats neat. anyone know where alabama alums go to watch games in the detroit area? i know, i know, thats way up there, but i had no choice in going up this far north...

Talk about timing! I was at a wedding in Newport, RI this past weekend and one of my cousins (sort of) is from Chicago and was telling me about the Houndstooth North. He is a native and really wants me to take him to a REAL college football game......good guy.

What is the happy hour and what is the other bar for the SEC happy hour. Just curious.

Happy hour at the Tooth North will be Aug. 7, from 6 pm till whenever (so I guess it's actually happy hours - to your point Boclive). We'll probably have the '92 SEC champ game on (thanks to Simon) to relive the glory years.

SEC happy hour is usually the last Friday of each month at a bar called Kincaid's on Armitage.
