How Bama will defend Cam Newton

I'm not convinced Newton won't sustain an injury of some sort before the Barn faces Bama. Running quarterbacks don't exactly have the longest shelf-life in the SEC particularly the West. I look for Dyer to be much more polished by the Iron Bowl, and I was surprised he didn't get more carries last night.

Bama has 10 more games to be concerned about before they play the barners. What concerns me is that there is a 4-page post on the barn QB.

Wrap him up when you tackle and get in his face.

But if you have WR that could actually catch the ball; then you won't have to worry about that. MSU should have won that game, IF their WR's could catch the ball. I was so frustrated watching that game, I can't imagine how Dan Mullen felt.

I haven't seen this in awhile so I thought I would update it.

Kodi Burns, I mean Tyrik Rollison, nevermind I meant Cam Newton is an amazing talent that can beat you with his arm or his legs......

he may be the best QB that these eyes have seen. maybe the best aubie athelete since BJackson.

it will be very difficult, even with our D. Have to get in his face so he has to move around. 6.6 and can run... Unreal

Glad you took up watching football. I remember watching my first televised game as well. Just wish it had've been a better game for you than Auburn-State.

Ohh..as far as Newton dominating....when was the last time any SEC Quarterback faced State and went two and a half quarters without leading his team to at least a field goal??

If Newton continues running as much as he is and trying to run over people, he won't be playing when they come to T-town. If he is lucky enough to make it to T-town Mr. Dareus, Mr. Hightower and Mr. Barron will make sure he won't finish the game.
This is the same thing I was thinking last night.

All you have to do to defend Cam and beat Aubarn is make sure your receivers dont drop passes when they are wide open or when it hits them right between their hands. MSU defended Cam enough to win if their O could have executed another 2-3 plays. Plus everyone that has been pointing out the fact that MSU's DE's were running up the field to much hit it right on the head. Made it way to easy for him to run. AU might get better as the year goes on but it will be another year before the barn is legit.....maybe.

Yep. I kinda felt sorry for #9 last night (I think that is his number). He was crying on the sidelines, but as a receiver, you have to make those catches.

Dareus will plant a good hit on the guy and Cam will go out with an injured shoulder. Then his backup will be in over his head, and Auburn will be reduced to, "But if Cam hadn't gotten hurt, we.."

Oh, I'm sorry, wrong team wearing Orange.

In reply to the topic...

I think anyone in the stands yelling "Nabisco" would do the trick.

Wasn't that impressed. Their two best plays appeared to be "oh, shoot, everyone is covered -- qb run for your life" and "hold like crazy on the o-line and hope the zebras don't call it". He's going to have to prove he can pass downfield or SEC teams will just spy him and tackle better than State did (which is not saying a heck of a lot). Great qbs do not have their team held scoreless for a half....

We won't have to defend Cam cause we'll hang about fifty on these clowns. Their defense will not be ready for this.
HAHAH i like the way you think RTR. Seriously, i thought he looked decent but there were several plays where he got big gainers against Msu,and i was thinking "pal, against us you'd better bring your'e lunch because we'll hand it it to ya" :)

Then believe me instead of your lying eyes, he's not all that. If he were at Alabama, he'd be our 4th QB.
