Link: If the Denver Broncos were to play Alabama ( Oddsmakers betting line )

Last years team would have made it more interesting. That offensive line would have been able to hold their own against many pro teams.

Might have bought us 7-10 points, but that's it. Still would've been a absolute butt-kicking unlike anything we've ever seen handed to Bama.

Well, to even the odds a bit the first play of the game I'd get the last string LB to ear hole Peyton and take a fifteen yard targeting, helmet to helmet, fist in the junk, elbow to the throat penalty. Hopefully that would put him on the bench. And while he was laying on the ground on top of him he'd whisper in his ear "That's for leading the band at BDS after y'alls win.". :biggrin2:

I am sure glad I am not the only one holding that grudge ... but you forgot "break his pizza making fingers" ...

Bama would make quick work of the broncos. See 50 points, maybe 55 before the good guys ease up and put in the scout team. Denverites will sing dirges for decades. I visualize a steady stream of head and assistant coaches meandering through T-Town begging for the blueprint on how Saban put the "0" in manning's high octane Offense. The relentless replays will run into espn greatest upset special, into ad nausea infamy. The nation will be amazed, stunned really, at the causal, almost nonchalant response by BAMA nation, as if anything less should have even been considered, much less expected. BAMA opens up another section at the Bryant Museum dedicated solely to, I told you so, and there leaves a life size statuette bronze figurine with the open invitation for future NFL doubters, The inscription humbly expresses the singular idea: "I told you, I'm the best that's ever been."

Nice. You're wrong, but I admire your optimism and loyalty. ;)

If the Denver Broncos were to play Alabama, after leading his team to a 70-3 victory, Peyton Manning would jump up on a ladder and lead the Broncos band in the "Mighty Broncos March" for two hours at Bryant Denny. That would suck.

Let's put this in the proper perspective; How would the other top 6 ranked college teams do against the Denver Bronco's?

2 Oregon 4-0
3 Clemson 4-0
4 Ohio State 5-0
5 Stanford 4-0
6 Georgia 3-1

Looking at that question instead of just the Alabama one, leads us to the next... Which team would do the best against the worst Pro team? And the answer will always be Alabama.

I am old enough to remember seeing the College All-Stars play against the NFL Champions, here is the link http://www.mmbolding.com/BSR/Chicago_Charities_College_All-Star_Game.htm

What we found out was the Pro's didn't take it serious and kind of cruised through the game trying not to do much and the college guys just played to not be embarrassed. The very early games in the 30's and 40's may have been different but I wasn't around then.

Since we are talking of a fantasy game that could never happen, let's say the '12 Bama team vs the Jacksonville team as they were in their college years not as they are now. In this more level playing field Bama would more than hold their own. It's a matter of experience and maturity not physical talent.
