I'm calling it now - Mark Ingram is going to EXPLODE this Sat...

Yeah. I want to see a play where Ingram takes the ball and goes about 30 yards, then when they finally have about five defenders lined up to take him down, he laterals back to Trent!

:)
Well, I don't know that we have any plays that put both of them out there, though we did run that one in the UT game last year with MI @ Wildcat and TR coming across in motion...

I saw an article where if Trent did not have his 52 yard TD run we would have only had 98 yards rushing against the Piggies last year. Mark, Trent and the OL are treating this as their own personal revenge for them holding down the running game so I do also predict Mark goes off and we pound them on the ground and mix in some play action and roast the Piggies.

I too look for MI and TR to be out there at the same time. They aren't gonna know which one to cover and if they do do it that leaves the passing game wide open. I agree with BJ4Tide about UGA sucess running on Ark. last week...just think of what we can do with the 2 best running backs in the nation !! Roll Tide

We have a lot more reason to seek revenge than you guys after the beat down you gave us...

Arkansas will have to defend the run better this week than they did last week to win the football game. I think the question for them is how best to do that. Normally you overload the LOS, but if you go 7 in the box maybe even with a db cheating towards run support, and you double team Jones or try to spy him out in a zone, well, you are running out of players. But if I'm Arkansas I guess I sell out to stop the run and try to force a lot of third and long, then defend the pass.

And yeah, my guess is that I'm one of the older guys around; I clearly remember watching Scott Hunter, Johnny Musso, and Johnny Davis for example. But I do not believe that Alabama has ever had a better collection of talent for lining up and running the football, even when there was no such thing as a scholarship limit for practical purposes. And though it would fill me with nostalgia, and probably scare the crap out of defensive coordinators all down the schedule, I hope we do NOT run an actual wishbone play. It worked a lot, but it was a high turnover potential offense, it exposed your quarterback to a lot of pounding, and today's defensive players are much better at moving laterally and bringing a load when they get to the point of attack.

Let's stick with that formation where Fluker lines up outside of Carpenter and just bulldoze people.

I think you will see pigs fly before Saban ran a wishbone play.

Ingram has become on of my favorite players on this team. I would love for him to go crazy in these next three games. I'm taking 150-250 yards crazy............:eek2:

:BigA: ROLL TIDE :BigA:

I think you're right. I was really watching his body language during the ESPN interview and looked like he wanted to say so much more than he knew better to say when they asked him if he felt he had something to prove after missing the first two games.

Didn't you guys hear? M. Maze played QB in high school, and he is going to line up in the Wildcat/wishbone with MI and TR in the backfield. After we run for about two hundred yards out of that formation, Maze is going to throw a few deep balls to Julio and Hanks. GMac is only going to have an opportunity to throw for about 150 yards, and Goode and Fowler will total another 100 yards in the fourth quarter. Man, you guys must not read anything about Bama football. Don't y'all take your football seriously?:biggrin2:

He looked like he wanted to jump out the seat and run someone over. They had three or four different interviews with him and he looked the same in each one.

I said it during the offseason and I'll say it again: Mark Ingram is one of the rarest talents in college football. We'll see something big this season.
