Improvement?

I am not meaning to sound negative, but I'm sure some will take it that way.

Having said that, could someone please explain to me what areas of our team, on offense, have really improved since our first game? I know, I know, we are young and sanctions and we need stablility and blah, blah, blah. I am talking about real improvement on the offensive side of the ball.

I am not wanting to turn this into a thread about firing or changing any coaches. Why do we not improve? We have not had a rash of injuries or anything else that I know of that should set the program back.

I am just stunned at our level of play at this point in the season. Any thoughts?

Fortunately and (unfortunately for some) sanctions, youth and inexperience cannot be used for tonights game. Hoover Highschool would have shut Duke out. These cats hadnt' scored a td but in ONE of their games before tonight. They lost to a 1-AA team. The sanctions, youth and inexperience card can't be used this time.
 
I hope, I hope to high heaven that this game was not our team. Hopefully, our coaches will kick some tail this week and we will see a team focused and ready to play. I hope!!!!
 
Ole miss? oh u mean the team coached by and oaf who can't coach his way out of a papersack and is already being looked into 4 his recruiting tactics. Get real, Ole Miss hasn't shown anything other than 2 be bad on both sides of the ball.

I know Ole Miss has better athletes than Duke. Ole Miss is improving, they beat a Vandy team we struggled with. I expect to see Ole Miss pumped up big time to play us know, why not, we didn't show them anything to fear.

Jesus dude, how can you possibly say that about another SEC team after watching us play Duke tonight. What actually did we show tonight? My gameplan must have been feeding me another game. Because I dang sure didn't see the same game you watched.:rolleyes:

Do you think a team loaded with seniors and two deep with top level division I talent would come out and expect an opposing team to lay down for them?

The 2006 Alabama Crimson Tide is young, thin and naive.

That's not gonna change until the 2007 season kicks off.

From what i saw in the Georgia game there defense brings the wood. I don't know about his recruiting tactics but he has some talent on offense now. I hope they don't hit there groove till after the Bama game.

Well, nobody got hurt. We got the W. Darby got a 100. JPW had a pretty good stat line (minus the int).

Beyond that, I'm not sure Little Orphan Annie could find much sunshine to pump.
 
Didn't get to watch the game... heard bits and pieces on the radio so I can't say one way or another. However, I can tell you motivation for games like the one tonight is very difficult for young teams. Right now, without having seen the game, I'm more interested to see what Shula and company do with it... if they have another similar performance against Florida International, I will likely be more than just disturbed.
