I will indeed say this. I think the university should give the benefit of the doubt to the coach that has spent years developing a program over the unhappy son of an ESPN analyst.

The more I read and see about this the fishier it becomes.

When you use the words "shed," "punish," and "guards" as liberally as ESPN and Adam have used them, Leach does look pretty bad. But it seems to me like the "shed" was an equipment room, and he was being treated, not "punished," and that the "guards" were trained assistants, one of them licensed if I'm not mistaken.

Take this into account. A licensed proffessional has stated that the dark room was beneficial and preferrable for Adam's condition and that he benefited from the treatment received. That should be the ultimate question: did the treatment Adam receive jeopardize his physical or mental health and was it motivated by unprofessional feelings from Leach?

All of the players who have come out in support of James are clearly slackers and chumps. The odd thing - that a great team has so many of them. So far, 6 players have come forward supporting him. That makes 7 players who aren't worth their scholarships. How could so many chumps be on the same team led by such a great coach? I mean, Leach is awesome. He wouldn't even allow his players to twitter, so tight is his fist. And forget about their fat girlfriends. He can't have really lost control, could he? Nah, it must be something else. Maybe that is ESPN's fault, too. :conf3:

Leach is incredible. We should hope that he replaces Saban at Bama some day... :cheers2:
You have it wrong. Leach is terrible! The 7 players that have come out in support of James are the ONLY 7 players that are of any quality. The other 100 plus are clearly thugs and its indicative of how bad Leach and his program is. Craig James' stand against Leach is borderline heroic for the rights of not only the fine upstanding kid he raised, but the rights of humble, hardworking kids like him everywhere. The assistance of ESPN, the shining beacon of fair and unbiased sports reporting, is also noteworthy. It is so good to know there is media outlet that we trust blindly in this age of money driven agendas and biased reporting. :)

I almost threw up....I'd rather have Mike Shula back.Though I fully support him and believe he has been wronged. Beside K Smart is the next Bama coach.

first of all, i remember my first trip to lubbock with usaf in 1957. i was bored one day and went to a texas tech home game with the great e.j. holub the all american center, and i got to see billy cannon play and he beat tech with a 70 yard run. my point is texas tech has never had a successful football program until leach arrive, and every year he has taken the tech team to a bowl game. i guess some of the players like him during his decade there. yes, there have been two or three players that cried about the james boy getting ill treated, but, there have been a lot more from former players such as harrell the qb that beat texas, and a few linemen now playing in the nfl, stated never saw him mistreat anybody. i espec ially like one story espn associate quoted, where one kid just would not study and maintain his grades. so coach leach had a desk placed at the 50 yard line, while it was snowing, and during practice, and told the young man you will spend the practice session studying at that desk until it dawns on you that grades are important. the father, thought that wasgreat because his son had no more problems with his grades. coach leach has a law degree from pepperdine univ in calif. he is mild mannered according to many on and off the field. yes is quirkey at times. i especially payed attention what two former position coaches had to say about the james boy. one of them the receivers asst, warned coach leach not to give him a scholarship, because he was not d-1 level talent. coach leach said he thought he would get better, and gave him a scholarship. unfortunately, the position coach says he was right, because, mr. james was lazy, always blamed the coaches for his lack of talent. the other position coach said the same thing, was a malingerer and wise guy. he was diagnosed with a "mild" concussion, and was placed in the shed, and closet with a physical trainer, and graduate assistants there to look after him. the shed and closet were dark, and cool. the school doctor stated mr. james was not harmed by this treatment. i have always thought craig james on espn was a arrogant analysts, and even when he was in the nfl briefly, he acted like he was the man. i hope he is happy, that his son has been instrumental in firing of a excellent coach. i am sure, texas tech will return to its old ways, and mike leach, will get another gig. i really believe the only reason the coach put him in the shed or closet was to make final attempt at humbling him, and hopefully, improving his attitude. right or wrong, i doubt if we see mr. james on the field ever again.

From what I have seen the player that spoke out against Leach was good friends with James. What else would a friend do. If he said nothing he would not be much of a friend.

that doesn't look like the room the guy was showing in the other video, unless it's just a room that leads to the bigger room.

Much different than what Daddy Craig James explained last night on ESPN. MUCH, MUCH different. Something ain't passing the smell test on this...
No kidding man. I saw that interview as well. How much of this was fabricated by the kid but even more blown out of context by an AD and surrounding company that would like to see CML off of the Tech pay roll? To me it sounds like the kid just had a bad day and used the"wrong" words to describe what happened when explaining it to his Dad.... Maybe some choice words as in Guards= Athletic Trainers that help supervise him and Shed as in heated, running water, and well lit(not that my shed has any of those). When it smell like Lee county it usually means your A) In Lee County Alabama, or B) Somebody just came outta Lee county Alabama... Translated Nationally = It just aint right! :BigA:

Side note, How awkward does the AD of TT feel right now?

He had a high-wire act going anyway.

You don't PO your superiors, remain as you are, and expect to keep your job.

Yes he did have a "high-wire" act going. Like him or not (I don't) that is his style and it seems to produce results.

I don't see anything in Leach's personality that makes me think he gives a hoot what his "superiors" think. IMO he will come out fine with this; a lot richer and a job waiting somewhere; maybe in the WAC, where his style would be a good fit.

TT has wanted him gone for a while. I think Leach has OCD and therefore has tired of the whole Red Raider thing himself. Looks to me like both will get their wish.

Unless there's a time stamp, we don't know when that video was taken. He could have taken that yesterday in an electrical closet he found nearby. I'll take that video with a grain of salt. Seems to me that he would have released that video a few days ago if it were in fact the closet he had to stay in.

So putting a player in a dark room away from the team helps heal a concussion. What? Why does a player need someone to watch him to make sure he stays in a dark room? This is all very strange to me. This is weird! Leach's lawyer admitted that Leach has done this with other players. What? This does not sound right to me. If Leach is doing this kind of stuff he does not need to be coaching.
