Hendrix probably still has a little bit of growth left...or at least I hope. He needs to grow an inch or two to help his stock. 6'9" or 6'10" is a good NBA height for his style...6'7"-6'8" not so much. Hendrix really isn't a high-riser and getting up-and-down the court doesn't seem to be his style. If you're going to be an undersized PF in today's NBA, you have to have hops and be able to get out on the break like a Phoenix's Marion. His style lends itself more to the tempo and scheme of the Pacers; half-court driven, low-post oriented teams. Hendrix's stock has probably actually fallen since coming to the Capstone, but I thought he was going to be disappointed on draft day anyway if he declared.
I hate to be negative, but if Gee thinks he's first round material he needs to open his eyes. He can't take anybody off the dribble and only scores in transition it seems. Gee can be very, very good, but he has to improve his handle on the ball so he can start isolating on his man and get into the paint.
Steele is hurt and that has killed his stock too. Even if he recovers this year or next year, I bet his injury history will still turn some teams off. I think he's the only guy on the team with a legit NBA skill set. He can hit a jumper, he has speed off the dribble to penetrate (when healthy), and has superior ball skills. His game would actually translate to the pros even better than college because the lanes are wider due to the 23 foot 3pt line.
Pretty much, nobody on the team should be worrying about the NBA because they are in for a rude awakening. The only guy who is NBA-ready won't go because he's had a horrible injury-ridden year. Focusing on winning would be a lot more intelligent goal.
