Heard yesterday that Oregon has about 4 starters out for saturdays game and maybe a couple for the rest of the year. Haven't seen anything on the Ducks forum about it though. Not wishing for injuries on anyone but if it was a close game before it will sure nuff be close now.

I know they lost one of their safeties to a torn ACL last week. Before the season started they lost their best safety Boyett. Saw a bunch of tweets of guys falling all over the place but don't know the severity of them.

Their star RB Barner hurt his hand last week but returned. Oregon is beat up for sure. Not sure how it will affect them though.

That's two, and the torn acl is gone for the season, I don't think Barner was one of them. I think he said defense. Friend said he heard someone call in on finebum saying 4 were out.

Yah, I've read where the entire starting DL is nursing injuries, both RB and QB are banged up, along with a few more.

Good time to play a tough Stanford team!

Beating Oregon in Eugene is tough no matter what and I'm not sure Stanford has the offensive firepower to keep up with Oregon. But they do have a physical run game on offense and their defense has a terrific front seven.

Secret to beating Oregon.....can't score if they aren't on the field.

At this point in the season, everyone is beat up. You just have to hope you haven't lost a superstar.

Looking at plays/game, they've already run 843 plays. Right about the amount we'd have run after 13 games at our current pace. Those boys are bound to be tired, and that's when injuries happen. I remember CNS commenting about fast tempo creating more injuries.

Oregon is beat up and BAMA is too! I've never seen so many players limping on an offensive team than I did Saturday vs TAM. Maybe Oregon will take one to the mouth like we did!

Stanford didn't have the offense to beat USC either, but they did a terrific job of slowing and negating Barkley and the trojans. IMO, their run game against USC was the key and hopefully against a wounded duck's defense will be the difference in this game.

My best friend has family connections to the Oregon team: Yes, they are beaten up -- worse than published reports would indicate.

But they keep winning by four touchdowns, so either the world doesn't notice the injuries or doesn't care. That doesn't mean it won't catch up with them down the road.

from what I hear they had to reshuffle their secondary and LBs around. possibly starting 2 true freshmens.

Yeah, there D is banged up pretty bad. I've only watched a couple of Oregon's games, but I watched this past Saturday, they played Cal and they were able to run the ball on them.

Another thing to consider: if Stanford does manage to beat Oregon, then ND's stock will only go up since they were gifted the win over Stanford at home in OT thanks to South Bend magic. Got to pull for Stanford and USC.

Very true . Mack , that's part of the reason I always say the real college season doesn't begin until November . Makes for an even tougher stretch when your roster is less than intact :(
