Is Richard Young Injured? (Watch teaser titles)

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

He’s seen less and less time and I imagine it’s from a lack of production. I remember him getting trucked trying to pass block vs Wisconsin.

Let's make a call to Sam Pittman to help fix that.
As someone said earlier today, Sam lives on a mountain lake near a casino making $7mm to not coach. I wouldn’t count on anything from Sam but Hunting , fishing and a little Gambling over the next few months .

I'm just wondering if his issue right now is pass protection. Jam looked solid at it the other night.

I would guess pass protection and just learning the position since college play requires more than just toting the rock. And... Ball security. He does seem to potentially be our most dynamic runner in limited action against lesser teams.

Young and Hill just don't seen to be more than average at best. And below average at actually running the ball. Maybe one will pop up, but so far, no signs of that.

I've also noticed the LA transfer has pretty much disappeared.

I’m sure it has something to do with it, but if he is running ya don’t have to worry about pass pro!

I think it is very telling that we have rotations in the OL and defensive back field that is larger than our RB rotation.

Dre Washington rushed 9 times for 36 yards against FSU. Also 5 times for 22 yards against the Warhawks and had 13 yards on 2 rushes, with 1 pass reception against Wisky. Only played on special teams against Georgia.

Playing devils advocate, Justice Haynes looked average behind our OL last season and now is flourishing at Michigan. Our running backs arent getting much help from our OL. Its tough when you're having to get every yard by yourself.

I've been saying this all season. Everyone blames the running backs. But they have to have holes or lanes to run in. Last year, defenses were trying to stop Milroe, but also stopped the running backs in doing so. Not sure what the issue is this year. Blocking schemes?

Yes... the OL is critical and I think blame lands there too.

If Hill or Young blows it up for the latter half of the season, I'd be their biggest fans. So far they haven't done it for whatever reason. We've had anemic running game under DeBoer barring the QB unfortunately.
