Its Tennessee hate week

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

We played bad in that game but that last drive made it all worth it. Butch's best game as a head coach probably.
god I was a nervous wreck. I couldn’t imagine what 2009 was in person…. Honestly I didn’t see that game live because I was working the flight line and keeping up with it on espn gamecast.

I was at the 2009 game as a student. Complete snoozer of a game….until Ingram fumbled 20yds straight down the sideline on what should have been a nearly game clinching 1st down run. From there, it was epic. I completely lost my voice in those last ~4min.

I've no idea what you mean - every week is tennessee hate week.
Fair point. It’s 365 1/4 days for me too. But too many fans get it wrong… Tennessee is the hated neighbor you want to beat the crap out of and Auburn is the little brother you want to dunk on. I HATE Tennessee and dislike auburn.

Better title “it’s TSIO” week

You youngins probably don’t remember, but for us old farts, the series went from a competitive, but friendly rivalry to unadulterated HATE during the Albert Means saga (and all the skullduggery that followed.) If I ever see Fulmer in person, I can’t promise I won’t give him a beatdown for the ages. :cautious:

I disagree. I've hated UT since the mid 70s.
