Jalen Milroe is now the starter going forward.

You left off a key event: a closed door team meeting about "unity." - THAT'S A FACT.

Next day CNS inexplicably announced JM as quarterback that earned it. - THAT'S A FACT.

Perhaps the two don't correlate OR perhaps they do? THAT'S A DEBATE.

But you can understand why a lot of people think it smells fishy.

I personally believe if JM was suspended CNS should have said it and it would remove a lot of the questions. .
I really don’t think there is necessarily a correlation here. Another fact is that the team sucked on Saturday. Only bright spot was the defense, but it was USF, so…🤷🏻‍♂️.

The team can have a player meeting about unity, even one about not being a drama queen over QBs, and that not be the reason/ransom for Milroe being named the starter again.

I personally am not thrilled with Milroe as the starter and would prefer to see Ty given at least a start before totally dismissing him, because I think Milroe is a known entity that will cost us at least another game against a quality team this season, with his play and turnover magic. To my unprofessional eye Ty is at least a game manager QB who won’t lose us games.

But I think assuming a players meeting to have Milroe reinstated as QB is jumping a bit too far to conclusions. Not saying the situation makes any sense to me though lol. Can’t believe we are here right now.

That's exactly the way I see it. I'm pretty sure Lane Kiffin is going to have 7-8 on the line of schrimage...
Even if Milroe's friends decide to play and decide they can actually catch the ball, I see this game as a tough out.

I'd play us man-to-man with deeper than normal drops for the DBs. EVERYONE else is playing in the box to occupy every blocker +1, then I've got a spy on Milroe so we'd really be +2 in the box. that'd create a situation where Bama would need to try to pass, so right at the snap I'd be bailing a guy into each flat, and a S to the middle. I would dare Bama to try to beat me with dink and dunk passes down the field. Double dog dare even...

I think at this point regardless of what we think we have to come to a place and decide if this is our team and if we trust them. Not just who is behind the center but all the players on offense and defense. Or are we the type of fan that gains their self worth from what their team does on Saturday? When they please us we cheer, when they disappoint us we moan and groan? When the coaches play who we want then they know what they are doing. When they don’t well they are just too old, too soft and have just lost it.

The boys say they have come together as a team and are now on the same page. Let’s see what they do as a team. JM has won this team by who he is to them. None of the other QBs have done this and honestly the only difference between them is the fact that one of them have won the hearts and minds of the players while the others have not.

At the end of the day that is who I support those who bleed Crimson. CNS says he likes this team. He says JM has earned the right to start by his leadership skills. Some Of you are too young to remember CPB favorite QB and it wasn’t JN it was Pat Trammel. Paraphrasing Coach’s words “He wasnt talented but he would beat you… the players rallied around him like puppies and would jump out a window for him”. Pat brought Alabama its first national title since the 1930’s. Maybe we get too star struck or place too much emphasis on the Superstar or worse yet listen to sportscasters who think they know or they just like to stir the pot. We have forgotten this is a team sport. Do we have a QB who can win games single handed? No! But we may have a team that can bind together, do their jobs and do something spedial.

There are no real rankings at this point and most of the teams in the “top five“ have yet to be tested. This season is far from over but it starts this Saturday. Let’s get behind the team or if we are too self absorbed to do that at least have the decency to find something more productive to do that doesn’t include running down those who are our team.

1) I saw at least a dozen “If Milroe is the guy I’ll support him” posts on Sunday-Monday and now 900 posts 2/3 trashing him now that he’s the guy because folks for some reason thought Simpson looked like a world beater (he was fine but definitely didn’t set the world on fire)

2) The arrogance of people who have the gumption to criticize CNS for how he’s performing in a job that literally none of you have ever done that he’s done at a higher level than arguably anyone ever for like 30 years. If I showed up at any of your jobs that you were LITERALLY THE BEST PERSON TO EVER DO THAT JOB ON EARTH and started telling you what to do—please tell me how you would respond

3) We’ve done something literally no one has ever seen in this sport for 15+ years. I loved going 11-2 last year and winning a Sugar Bowl emphatically —that is a good year by any standard
1. I don't recall anyone saying Simpson was a world beater Saturday.
2. That's why it's called armchair QB.
3. After the last 15 years 11-2 does not meet the Alabama standard.

Alabama is my team but I don't trust these guys, based on their performance the first 3 games, until they prove they can be trusted. Hopefully Saturday they will earn that trust.
