I’ll say it. I don’t give a hoot about these NIL deals. It’s all me me me. If you are getting paid 5mil to play college football, you should have a real short leash and you better produce. Put up or shut up. Take your 5mil that you get in large part because of the jersey you wear, and leave. This is Alabama, not your personal bank account.
I don’t know what you’ve been watching but the only thing he’s “earned” is a spot on the bench…
The majority of these kids are absolutely fleecing the majority of the people/companies stupid enough to pay them.
I just don’t get it from the paying side
I read this article prior to the Tennessee game and just scratched my head. I googled the author and he is a Georgia graduate. He either does not understand what a football super star looks like or he intended to sabotage us prior to a big game (rat poison).
I saw this before the game and saw his commercial during it. You'd think he's got a great game or something.

Thank you! I've always said that I don't care about college athletes getting money. I just don't understand why people would want to give them so much. Are they truly getting a return on their investment? Is it school pride? Ego? Having so much money that it doesn't matter? I wouldn't give them a nickel, but more power to them for getting what they can. Coaches still need to have the guts/ability to hold every player accountable; otherwise, why are they even there?
Look I'm not the one paying Jalen, Panini did that & that'on them, but, after the last couple of games I'm sure there's buyers remorse in making that deal..
No matter what Jalen is part of this team & win or lose I'm proud of boy's..
One thing I've noticed is after making these NIL deals players seem to put their play on cruise control & for that reason NIL is killing college football from the inside out..

Well, what is it that you think motivates these guys to give money? I listed several possibilities. Do you think it is one of them, or is it something else?
I just can't get this out of my mind. What terrible timing to "promote your brand" the day before a critical game. It's such a bad look.
BTW, I know it was probably planned by his agent and it JM might not have had anything to do with the timing of it, but man, once again, self awareness is an issue!

This college football model cannot sustain itself.
It's also being extorted through escalating ticket sales. Let's not forget that.
But you are right. At least some of it goes back to bragging rights like the big money boosters wanted when they were illegally buying players. Aside from that, some companies occasionally make money,I'm sure. But a lot of those companies have allegiances to certain schools, truth be told.
