I'm sure I misspelled his name, but anyway...

Am I the only one thinks Russell had the game of his life out there? He had a good game against ASU, but that is a far inferior defense he was playing. That kid threw the ball on the money most of the game. Early on, he threw a few bad passes, but after that he threw strikes most of the game. He was shifty enough to evade our pursuit most of the time (when we actually got to him). The boy can play.

He's still a little rough around the edges, but he's got tons of talent. He'll probably keep that loudmouth, Ryan Perriloux on the bench for 2 more years or make him transfer.

I Don't Like Losing But................

If we had to lose, I wont say BEAT 'cause I dont think the GUYS got BEAT, at least it was to an ALABAMA native!

I agree he had a very good game. We kept good pressure on him but he was always able to run from our pursuit, find a receiver, hit the receiver, and the receiver normally held on to the ball for a 10 or 20 yard game. It happened over and over. To me, that was the key to LSU's win; that and 5 sacks.

I was very impressed with this guy. He lives up to the hype. Not only does he have a canon arm, he's physically HUGE and it takes a direct hit to bring him down. Russell is a uniquely dangerous quarterback--and he's only a sophomore?

Les Miles has inherited a fortune of talent. It will take a few years for Saban's recruits to filter out of the mix.

I would like to see what his numbers were if he had the same pressure on him every down that Brodie did.... The key to beat Russell and the same will be true next week with Cox is put pressure on him... we got him some in the first half but he had a lot of time in the 2nd half.... on the last TD I bet he had 6-8 seconds.

With that said he does have a lot of talent.

Before the season, I didn't think much of JM's ability as a QB, but he certainly did a fine job of running LSU's O last night.

I agree as an LSU student and fan. I was extremely concerned about how he would handle the pressure from bama's defense. I thought for sure he would throw a pick because he has been known to make very poor decisions under pressure. I have been a ryan perrilloux fan ever since we got the guy and quite honestly still am, but I give russell his props where he deserves them. He played an excellent game and stayed away from the stupid decision. Bama is the best defense we have played yet. We haven't scored under 21 points all year long, and u guys held us to 16. By the way good luck against auburn, i will be rooting for you guys.

Jamarcus has indeed matured over the course of the season. Most of us LSU fans have never questioned his raw talent, however, he has made some questionable decisions when pressured.
That said, over the last few weeks, his decision making has been as close to perfect as any would hope. Hopefull he will continue to improve, but my concern is that we are losing 3 of our 5 srarting O-linemen after this year.

I was very impressed with JR. He will be in the NFL long before Brodie is, if nothing else because of his sheer size and overall athletic ability. What I would like to know is how did we let him get picked up by an out of state school like LSU?

His mobility broke our backs.

Time after time our linebackers and d-linemen were one step away. The percentages would probably show that nearly forty percent of his completions, including the game winner came on scrambles. In my opinion if there was any other quarterback on the field last night, with the exception being Vince Young (Texas), the game last night would have been a repeat of Florida. I hate that this guy got away from us, but at the time he came out of high school, Tyler and Fran were running the reincarnation of the Notre Dame Box.... We had no chance from the beginning.

He's an awesome talent

I saw him do things in high school here in Mobile that seemed impossible, Jimbo Fisher is taking his time and Jamarcus is developing into a fine QB other then the one brain fart he had LSU may have been undefeated

I've wondered if Perriloux will have the patience to continue to be a back up for another 2 years. This guy boasted that he could come in and start and even win the Heisman. I won't be shocked at all to see him transfer.
