I’ve seen times it would annoy me but this time it’s deserved.

It’s not just the loss, it’s the effort from guys like 18 and 0, 74 looking out of shape, people bringing up the TikToks, 2 carrying some doll into the stadium, FSU’s QB making money off his comments cause the disrespect was not addressed.

Alabama Football is the laughing stock of the sport right now and it’s literally up to everyone in that facility to change that.

Until CKD starts looking like a coach instead of a spectator every time the camera pans to him, we’re going to keep seeing the same lackluster energy on the field. At some point, he’s got to hold these guys accountable — when players AND coaches make simple mistakes or blow obvious reads, they need to hear about it. Light a spark. I hate that I didn't invest in this company early on. They're in almost every school now...at least in the systems that are banning cell phones from classrooms.

So, just to add something. I was able to attend a scrimmage as well this Fall and I am a bit confused myself. What I took away from that scrimmage was the attitude defensively. I mean, we had guys on the defensive sideline literally celebrating each tackle/pbu/sack etc and really flying around. I did not at one time have an effort question back then. I saw, I think, what Josh Pate saw.

After Saturday, I did question. However, having now seen the "Film Guy" breakdown, it looks more like our scheme just completely prevented success. If you haven't seen it, I suggest that you do. We had multiple guys in a single gap, etc. Bottom line, I don't think some of it was effort, I think it was confusion. I wonder why sometimes these DC's think they need to be so exotic. I remember that Bill Oliver said that the main thing was just to have players in position to make plays. Didn't look like that happened on Saturday.

I believe Qua Russaw said today they were confused... which I guess would make them look slow, etc. I think it is a coaching issue with the DC. Gus knows how to exploit weaknesses too. He did his homework.

I think if we change DC or get someone else to make the calls this season then the defense will be better because players will know what to do/not be confused/have confidence. I think if penalties will be addressed, it will help our defense get off the field too. Penalties and player discipline are major issues. Seems other teams always score off of it but rarely does Bama score when the other team gets a penalty.
