yes, i posted a link to his 247 page which has his twitter, i was wondering about that. i seem to remember somebody on this board being an insider and when the news came out that belue was going to sign was on here soon after saying he was 3 credits too short, hopefully that insider will post again. maybe it was another board, but all of this is, well, i guess typical of the late december recruiting scene.

TIFWIW, but a guy I know who's pretty well connected with Deshler (and who happens to be a huge auburn fan,) says that he was told by Belue's JUCO coaches that he could play in the NFL right now. They say he's that good. Said he's put on some more muscle and that he may actually be a step faster than he was in high school.

This guys AU through and through but he still has a soft spot in his heart for Belue and wants him to succeed. Don't know about ya'll, but when an au fan even acknowledges how good one of our players is, it makes me kind of excited.

Especially when they don't even mention REC or money changing hanging hands. It's refreshing to hear a rival talk about a kid's talent.

If nothing more, the current reports on DB ought to convince everyone of CNS's ability to see talent in a HS DB prospect.

Remember, Belue was an Auburn commitment before 'Bama snagged him away, and they were extremely high on him. This one comes as no real surprise.

The alabamaintel site is stating that the nemcc coach indicated he signed a LOI with Bama today to start attending in Jan after taking the online class.

alabamaintel is reporting this but is this feasible? Can u sign without having enough credits? Maybe like regular recruits it's who shows up for the scholly that counts

of course he can sign... its the same thing as a sign and place out of high school

Am I the only one who get's concerned when a recruit depends on online classes to qualify? We've seen the NCAA clearing house not recongnize these types of credits in the past with Alfy Hill. If I remember correctly Alfy's problem was related to high school online credits and not online college credits.

    "Alabama wants me to come in and play corner and also return punts and kickoffs," Belue says. "I'm eager to get there and go through spring practice. Its been a long wait."

Stuff about his academic status has been all over the place. At this point, I don't know what to believe.

It should be an interesting spring. Who wins the CB spots? Kick/Punt returners? We'll have a sick pool of talent between Belue, Hart, Sylve, D. White, Christion Jones, D. Milliner, B. Sims etc. Wish we could play them all. I do think Belue should be a big contributor next year...assuming he does make it here.

Love seeing a Deshler kid making his way to Alabama. I hope his academic stuff is in order and he can play next year.

Question: I am assuming Belue has to go through the clearing house and we all know how wonderful folks they are. If they decide his last academic class is not acceptable, can he:

1. Start classes at UA and work out with the team? and
2. Practice and play in Spring game?
3. If UA accepts him academically, can be become eligible by taking and passing classes in the spring semester and then join the team in the fall?
