Kansas City Star on Croyle

You know around here in East TN, I always get amazed by how many UT fans turned out to be Colts fans after Manning went to play for them. But, now I can see why so many follow the players, I will catch myself keeping up with teams that I never knew I would watch, Houston (D.Ryans) now K.C. Fantasy Football does not hold a stick to pulling for the former Tide Players making an impact on the NFL. Just, wait for the years to come.

And it really helps when they play for a team you have always liked-Bears-Mark Anderson.

In the first article, from a philosophical standpoint, Brodie sounds remarkably like Coach, who once said something along the lines of "treating everybody fairly does not mean treating everyone the same." If Brodie understands that at his tender age (and Coach was a lot older before he did), whenever his playing days are over he might make a great coach himself.

I...

coincidentally, if polls mean anything, the majority of people who took the time to vote for the choice of who should start are voting for Brodie.

Should he be successful, and I pray that he is, it will raise some interesting questions about our recent coaching and recruiting...

I've gone on record at multiple boards saying that I'd be surprised if he ever amounted to anything in the NFL after the physical AND mental beating he took at Alabama, but I don't think Herm would be giving Brodie this much of a chance if he wasn't really impressive. I mean, they just signed Huard to a pretty decent sized contract and he might be Brodie's back-up. I guess we'll see if he has the confidence an footwork to survive and NFL pass-rush.

Count me as one who thought and said Brodie would never make it in the NFL. I couldn't be happier to say I was wrong. It's something what a few extra pounds of muscle, some good coaching and a real offensive line can do for a QB, huh?

I watched Brodie in some Mini-camp drills. He puts the ball in spots Huard can only dream about and with alot more velocity. The issue with Brodie taking the starting job is his leadership ability, not his talent. Does he have what it takes to take control of the team? This is what will be played out during the preseason in KC.

Thanks for the link, while I believe he has the arm to make it in the NFL, I just do not believe he can handle the rigors of being an NFL QB with the physique that he has.

From what I have read, he is in his comfort zone with KC, and when you have a QB settle in like that, well, that can be one heck of a QB.. Hopefully he will excel. :)

I pull for Brett Farve over ANY player, period....However Brodie may take Farves place on my list. I can't recall pullin harder for a Bama player to succeed than I am pullin for Brodie. I guess cause he is from my neighborhood and I think the world of him & his family.

We have had many of the Big Oak girls at our house when the daughter was a teen & atttended several events at Big Oak. I just can't say enough about the good things they do...GO BRODIE !!!!!!

I would have to agree. I am a huge Packer fan and Brett Farve fan. In fact I made sure I attended the last Packer game of the season last year, just in case that was going to be Farve's last game. But Brodie will definitely be next on my list, along with Shaun Alexander and DeMeco Ryans.
