I thought Kerry Murphy was supposed to be on the verge of a decision a few weeks ago. Any update on him? Haven't seen much lately.....

I read a post earlier this morning which said a guy had heard Propst on the radio this morning...RP indicated he was a strong Bama lean and said he thought that's where he'd end up.

He seems to put this routine out there every other week or so for the past few months .

RTR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:BigA:

Hey Terry,

How serious is the talk about this guy's eligibility issues? I ask because with his size I think he could come in and play as a true frosh (if he qualifies, of course).

TerryP, that is what I like to hear and do you have a clue of any other recruits that we have a good chance at ? I know Ricks is very good, but I'm not sure that he could be playing a dangerous game....

If I wanted to attend a school and couldn't meet the details needed to secure a scholly I would be a little wishy-washy to the public as well . Usually CMS will not take JUCO's that cannot enroll in December . Stover had to sit out and RS to have 3 years remaining to keep his scholly . Barring a miracle , Ricks will not finish JUCO in time .:mad2:

RTR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:BigA:

Ricks will finish, but apparently not in time to enroll in December as the Alabama staff would prefer.

I don't know when a decision is coming, but, I still think Kerry ends up with Bama. The only other schools that he was real interested in were Miami and the Barn. We all know where Miami is at now and the only time he seemed intrigued by the Barn was when they were in the national title picture.

He grew up a Bama fan, and I really expect that, sooner or later, he will commit.

Rivals.com Alabama Top 25
1 Kerry Murphy
Hoover (AL) Hoover DT 6-5/315 list
Dominant defensive tackle had 13 tackles for loss, 77 total tackles and eight sacks as an interior defensive lineman for Alabama’s top high school football program, Class 6A powerhouse Hoover, as a high school junior. After that season, Murphy played in the Alabama North-South All-Star game for the state’s top junior players. Murphy dominates at the point of attack and moves well in space, despite his size. He has good feet and closing speed and moves well sideline to sideline. He was injured toward the end of last season, but according to several close to the Hoover program, Murphy has had an excellent summer rehabilitating, getting stronger and faster and is poised to have a huge senior season. Murphy also will play on a stellar high school defensive line this year, alongside Auburn-bound defensive tackle Josh Chapman, also ranked as one of the top 25 prospects in Alabama by Rivals.com.
