Posted in another thread that KN is one of my favorite offensive players. To me he is "MR. Clutch" on 3rd and "Gotta Have It" pass plays. This guy just goes about his business and shines brightest at the most critical times. I for one appreciate his talent and attitude.

I agree 100%. We actually had a discussion watching the game on Saturday that I think it is his instinct to run out of bounds after catching ball because it is generally 2 minute drills. I was very happy to see him catch some passes outside of 2 minutes to go!

Great idea for a thread, Crimsonami!

The guy is money!!

Every time I hear his name mentioned, my mind goes back to the NCG against LSU, where AJ carved up the Who's defense w Norwood.

Thereby turning the Honeybadger into a Hunneebunnee.

Causing him to seek solace from street pharmaceuticals...

It has been a while since any Alabama receiver has dropped a key third down pass in a game. All of your receivers seem to have ice water in their veins. But Norwood really steps up in big games. The bigger the game, this bigger his performances. And I am not sure that it is because he is necessarily better in those games - he doesn't seem to get the same opportunities in other games.

I think I have only seen him drop a pass a couple times. He has really good hands and good instincts. I know if we need a third down and he is open...AJ will throw to him.

Even though he doesn't get the spotlight, he really is our "big game" playmaker.

Now that I think about it, it is good he isn't in the spotlight. The other team never sees him coming. I never notice when he lines up, almost like he sneaks out there and just hangs around the sideline. ;)

Kevin Norwood plays like a NFL receiver he just knows to keep his feet in bounds when he comes down with the ball. Hope to see Mr. Norwood playing on Sunday's after his time here at the capstone. Hard to believe how far he's come since his first touchdown against Penn State.

I'll 2nd that. He comes through when you need a first down desperately. Like in that LSU game last year (last drive). But he's done it at other times also. He sure knows where the sideline marker is.

From Saturday's game the TE Howard looks like a clutch receiver also. I actually think you could put him in Norwood's position and he would be successful. He'd just need to know where the sidelines marker is. Norwood's feet KNOWS the SIDELINES. Howard is to the middle of the field what Norwood is to the sidelines.

May be the "smoothest" receiver we have. Makes everything look easy. Graceful. Reminds me a little of Fred B of the old Oakland Raiders.

True points. I hope he gets a chance in the NFL. He should make someone's team. I'm dubbing Norwood the igniter. He seems to start all the big drives and starts the scoring for our team. Every team needs someone to be the igniter and say, "Let's do this now"
