Same thing I thought, but Shelley Smith reported that Matt Barkley and his dad all but peed their pants with excitement (in so many words). Even saying that Barkley's face lit up with a smile and he hit her with the OMG. She says people are ecstatic around the athletic complex and there's a strong buzz. Ehh...Tennessee was the same way when they hired him. I see similar results in their future.

You guys should know that I hate UT as much as the next guy, but Kiffin is a piece of trash! Doing this to UT is much sorrier than anything Fran ever did to UA... Heck, I'm so angry for UT fans, I want to go to their sites and bash Kiffin.

Agree mostly. One year, one freaking year!!! Even Fran made it two.

I long for the days when the Bama - Tennessee rivalry was one between two fierce competitors who had tremendous respect for one another. I must admit, since the Fat One I HATE Tennessee; Lame did everything for the hate to continue.

I believe Lame, with his loose interpretation of the NCAA rules would of had Tennessee on probation before he left. Maybe a future NCAA bullet has been avoided.

I hate it for the players who put their faith and hope in this clown.

Maybe this is an opportunity for them to get a quality coach (hopefully not a too much so).

Yes he was. It would be a strange turn of events if Kiffin settles in at USC, then the NZAA reveals that Kiffin was directly involved in creating the mess that USC is now in. Ole Kiffin could end up getting fired from his new gig before ever coaching his first game.
It is just hard to believe that USC would bring a guy back that was on the coaching staff when all their problems were happening. This could become a major headache for Kiffin. Either way, I'm not crying over it.

Yeah, but that wasn't the argument Don't go trying to be a lawyer on me.

I'm sure if Leach were hired by UT, he could find an adequate DC. Leach's offense is far enough from the norm in the SEC that it could take a few years before it was completely solved.

I would hate to see them land Jon Gruden. He is a good coach and would certainly be a huge step forward for them. I would bet that Hamilton has already contacted Gruden.
