This is what the conservative media tries and clearly successfully in your post preaches. We are really hundreds to thousands of different ideological groups all being courted by the two biggest parties with a minority voting block with most people being left out of political all together.

When it comes down to actual personal beliefs, we split all kinds of ways that the conservative/liberal ideas cannot actually represent.

Well of course there are sub groups split all kind of ways. I was speaking of the broad right left spectrum. That split is real even with the many shades on all sides. It's not just conservative media doing this but media in general. Your bias is showing.

No, you don't realize how passionate people who like Chick-fil-a are about those nuggets and waffle fries. Especially women.

Chick-fil-a is easily the best run fast food franchise. They have the best employees and the most efficient operation from a customer's POV.

Food trumps politics.
Keep telling yourself that. People are generally loyal to their brands until they aren't. Go ask Bud Light.

There's a broad group of people who don't fit in between in either of those two ideals that don't lean consistently either way/care either way, so calling the US 50/50 is grossly oversimplifying our vast country of 360 million people.

Here's where these companies really step in it. They come out pro LGBT and then have to back off when they get a backlash. The majority of the backlash is in the pushing the T portion or aiming at kids, Target. Then they back off and make the other side mad. That's where Bud Light and Target are right now. Both are mad at them. That's why they should stay neutral. They can't win either way.

Isn't that the true definition of Conservatism? My (group's) way, beliefs, standards, laws, morals, mores, not you or yours. It's a wee short step to full on Fascism from where we are today.

Conservatism in its base form seeks to promote traditional values and institutions with slow change to have stability. It’s not as adverse to change as “conservatives” in America try to make it out to be. It’s not a group think idea that is spurred on by sharpe economic decline. It is a political ideology that has survived hundreds of years and has been proven to be beneficial to society in certain times and has proved to promote a stable structure of government. Hell Biden is closer to a true conservative than Trump.

Fascism is starting to become a boogeyman term that most people thinks they understand what it means but really have no clue what it really means past a violent right leaning dictatorship. It’s thrown around as an insult to the point it is starting to lose its historical impact. Kinda like how the GOP labels everyone that disagrees with them communists or marxists.

Saying Fascism and Conservatism are a step apart is like saying socialism and Marxism are a step a part. Yes they have common elements but there are far more elements that are dissimilar that they are two totally different ideologies.

That middle group still has opinions on the vast majority of the social issues. They may be on different "sides" depending on the subject, meaning they don't fit neatly in a box, but they still have them.

I fit in this category. I'm for some level of gun control: red flag laws, background checks, and magazine limits to name a few. I think Trump should be in jail. I'm all about renewable energy. Just got solar panels installed. I support giving arms and money to Ukraine. I'm also for stopping illegal immigration. I'm for Social Security reform because it's going broke. The point is those people in the middle still have opinions and companies should stay out of social issues because they are starting to lose no matter what they do.

target has been pushing pride merchandise during pride month for years, their "pulling back" was due in large part to physical threats towards their employees.

this is terrorism and bullying on the part of a bunch of fascist religious fanatics full stop.

well, there sure are a lot of conservatives willing to use violence and the power of government to apply a white nationalist version of christianity on our country, and they are not really trying to hide it.

whether that counts as fascism or not 🤷‍♂️

There are plenty of beers to choose from. There is no substitute for CFA.

How long before the "whole leg is bitten off?" Pick a time period and we'll see whether or not you are right.
