Carolina just broke the cardinal rule of drafting quarterbacks, DON'T PICK BASED ON ONE YEAR'S PRODUCTION, PERIOD! I don't care for the guy, don't have time to hate on him. The only way this works is if he's treated as Steve McNair was handled because that's how raw he is coming along the path he took and playing in that 'no-read' offense.
It's just a bad year for QBs in general. Newton has all the physical tools, but tons of questions. Gabbert has the tools, but again plays in a very non-pro style O. Others have severe short comings be it physical, background, etc. Should have picked safe with Dareus or even Fairley if he's your cup o tea.
