Game Thread: LSU @ UT

My 11 year old daughter just told me that it's "quite the conundrum" watching this game. "I hate Tennessee, but I also want LSU to lose. I wish they could both lose."

I'm so proud of her. :blush:

LSU's starting center is out and the backup center is hurting. He was an emergency only player last week and had to come in when Lonergan went down. Hebert, the back-up center/starting guard, has played great this year until so far in this game. I've seen numerous plays where he's been driven back up to five yards. Not sure what LSU can do about it, but it's hard to have a run game when your center is getting driven into the backfield every play.

I also agree, LSU looks pretty flat this game. They are a better second half team though, so i hope, even if the first half is close, they can pull away in the second half. I have no doubt bama is going to drill ole miss, and, even though we play 11/5(can't wait for that game, it's going to be epic), I'd like to see us keep with bama in the voter's perception.

Here's to both Bama and LSU having injury free games today...


As an aside and really irrelevant, i've sporadically read this bored for many, many years and finally decided to register. I just enjoy good football talk, and will prolly stay away from controversial stuff as I know it's easy for an opposing fan to come off as a troll. I usually enjoy following an outside thread for LSU's game so i don't get the homer's view piont, and have been doing that for wheover we play and here this season since y'all generally create one.

Game threads are about the only place we stop thread drift. To be clear, I don't want side incidents being discussed in this thread.
 
Ok, I don't feel good about it, but I'm pulling for LSU to win this. Only because I want them undefeated when Bama plays them. Well, that and I really don't want to have to hear Rocky Top 1000 times today.

sorry bout answering...already had posted it before i saw ya post this...dont' really care for discussing it much anyway to be honest. lol I'll let you delete the post if you want....i assume you have the powers.
 
Tennessee's stupidity amazes me sometimes....Really??? you get away with a huge bomb play....making the lsu Defense have to respect the long ball so instead of working the field they just decide to lob it up against a team that thrives off turnovers....*Facepalm*

Well, we have a TO at the moment. Getting off into side stuff like that makes it almost impossible to moderate a game thread. That's the reason we ask game posts only in these threads. I don't mean you, because you have the right attitude, but we have problems with rival fans jumping into the middle of game threads and needling Bama fans - or trying to before they're banned...
