LSU vs MSU Game thread

Sorry about that, I knew what you meant, but I guess I made it sound like I was directing that at you. Totally wasn't  It was aimed at all the people talking about how "horrible" Henig is.

You made a good point that his receivers are all so covered that anywhere he throws the ball it can be intercepted.

I don't think that Henig is that bad, the LSU defense is just good.

I dont know if MSU is hardly this bad. Its just the fact that their offense is so bad that it has finally brought their defense down with them. I dont know if they're just dog tired (probably) or if they may be having trouble competing at the level they started off at just because they feel a total absense of hope of a win (could be both). Either way you slice it, I think MSU has a quality defense. That offense is just bad beyond reckoning. Just imagine a team like Kentucky with a defense like MSU's. That team would have a chance at the SEC.

Wow, MSU is falling apart now and there is still 5 and a 1/2 minutes left. Hard to tell if LSU is really a NC contender just yet (but I think they will be). Their special team coverage has been excellent.

Did Fowler just say MSU has been shut out in 5 of their last 7 conference games? Need I bring up last year/Shula again, or have we beat the horse enough for tonight?

LSu's offense at the start was not very impressive, their defense likewise, but LSU came together whereas MSU fell apart.

I still think that they could be dangerous later in the season for teams, but there was no cohesiveness on the offense whatsoever, Henig litterally looked like a deer in the headlights the entire time he played, and that one shot of him staring at the sidelines and mouthing "what?" seemed to be the final nail in the coffin. I really thought they would at least score a field goal.

I can't believe they let Sherrill step foot on campas. He is the one that destroyed their football program to begin with. As to the game, MSU's defense kept them in the game for the first half, but their offense killed them. Who beat MSU? Was it LSU or Matt Hening?

Seriously - destroyed their football program? From what lofty heights did they fall?

I know it looks pretty bad that he left both A&M and MSU and they got hammered just after for rampant cheating, but he was never found guilty of doing anything wrong. Remember how Alabama looks to outsiders for "paying $150k for a player" - in their eyes we're dead guilty...
