Mark May admits SEC best.

I think he dropped his guard, and let something slip out that he normally wouldn't admit.

Could they please get someone at ESPN who is not biased? Yes, we are in the South, but the war's been over for 140 years.

I would love ESPN to take over from CBS for the SEC -- that way the games would have better announcers, the SEC would be heavily promoted, and some of our SEC players would have a much better chance at recognition.

When is the contract up for CBS? Anyone know?

He sure said it, but he's just stating the obvious. I'd love to see WV, or Kansas, Ohio St, Mich, etc. play in the SEC.

I could already tell you they wouldn't fare too well. I'm glad WVU got beat tonight, they didn't deserve to go to a NC game anyway. As far as OSU, they better hope they don't have to play UGA or LSU! The Big 11 as a whole is very weak IMHO.

... i think one of the reasons that espn talking heads are not that high on the sec is because cbs gets to cover the best conference in the land and the espn boys have to watch all the sec games on their tivo's - they are just jealous, for one thing

... however, although i do not want to see espn take over the sec coverage, i do agree with your reasons as stated above - and i could very much do without the "mutt and jeff" cbs announcers

The best team in any other conference but the Big 12 this year would have four losses on a SEC schedule, and that includes Ohio State and USC.

If LSU gets Ohio State in the championship game, it would basically have to be another Arkansas-size upset for OSU to win.

The SEC isn't even college football anymore. It's basically semi-pro.

I made the same comment last night to the folks watching the game with us. The level of play in the conference and the hitting that went on in the SECC game would make most players in other conferences call home for momma.

If Mark May really thinks this - and he's a notorious SEC basher - why did I just see him say that Oklahoma should play Ohio State for the national championship?

Lou Holtz pointed out that LSU played the tougher schedule and - under the old system - would be unbeaten with two ties.
