Good deal, glad he's gone.

raise your hand if...

You had a sports radio based in Alabama and instead of attending a Game for any of the major schools in Alabama you head to Florida and cover Florida and Tennessee. Then on air declare you can't really comment on either of the Instate Teams Games because you weren't around to witness them.... it was time for him to go.
I'm pretty sure he went to the game that the Mobile Press-Register assigned him to go to. That is his main job. How do you expect him to watch three games at once? If he hadn't seen it and had given an opinion, any fans would have been up in arms saying "How can you comment on our team when you didn't even see the game?!?!"

It's no secret McCready wasn't the brightest bulb in the box. He had no heavy hitters as backing and he still talked trash. In my best Dirty Harry voice "A man has to know his limitations". I think Neal found his.

btw, Didn't Lynyrd Skynyrd once tell a man named Neal, " A southern man don't need him around anyhow".

Re: SIAP, but McCready no longer on Mobile radio...

TommyMac! You listened to his show everyday, right?:) LOL! I love it when you're spot on! Actually, those responses to Ian were pretty well written...imagine that from the state of Bama!
I listened to him for awhile when I first moved back to Mobile, but him and his crew got old really fast. I switched to Snake as soon as I found out that he was on the air. :BigA:

Sometimes it takes a long time for the Reckoning to began. mccready was a waste of air time. He wasted peoples time with uneducated dribble on a daily basis. He added nothing to any conversation except hate and venom. NM has only himself to blame but he chose to BLAME his dismissal on the multitude of Tide Fans. Not because the show sucked, not because people were tired of his crap even Auburn fans, OH NO it was The BAMA Fans. REALLY!

Do not take credit BAMA fans. It would be a lie. My BooBoo hurts mccready has only his self to blame for being a nitwit. You know something like the Village Idiot who did not know when to shutup. :biga2:

I would expect him to watch the games afterwards if nothing else and comment on them. Of course he didn't bother doing that either. He was not assigned a game he hasn't been in sometime.

Shocker...an anti-Alabama guy gets fired in a state full of Alabama fans...
I've never thought of Neal as an anti Bama fan, he just like to stir up stuff sometimes just to generate talk and for the most part he did. Folks regularly called his show to take him to task over something he said about Bama, but they did the same about Auburn, although most were Tide callers. I suspect that due to the situation regarding commercials and Bama big bucks folks it put WNSP in a precarious position.

I listened to the program a little yesterday, Jed and Isaac both seemed to be in very upbeat moods. They sure didn't seem to be missing the egotistical jerk at all.

I won't miss him and it has nothing to do with Alabama or Auburn. He may be the most negative person in the world. Of course, since the only team he cares about is that pitiful Cubs franchise I guess he has an excuse.

Same here. I couldn't listen to him, not because he wasn't a Bama sunshine pumper, but because he always presented the poorest attitude towards his job. He brought no enjoyment to the show. I wanted to tune in and hear info about Alabama, Auburn, the SEC, high school recruits, etc...not some guy that just seemed to have a general disdain for the area and the people that live in it.

I'll be the first to admit, I called for the hit on McCready's radio show. I thought about sending a message by brick but that brought about too much attention last time. It could've been worse...Mobile has some pretty good storage bins at the state docks.
Add Mcready's name to the La Bama Nostra meat pole, right below our favorite coach of all time, Bill Curry.
