Way to much behind the scenes stuff that we probably don't know but it seems to me that a simple phone call to Mal would have gone along way toward the coaching staff making sure that they know who this kid is. Maybe that happened, maybe it did not. As for airing this on a radio show, that's a little harsh considering that it puts the school he played for and I'm sure feels very supportive for in a bad light. There are many other ways of handling this besides airing a breakdown in the Athletic Department on a show that tries to defame Bama to get listeners.

on all points. The only time I think of Finebaum is when his name pops up here or on another board. At times, it seems that we have large numbers of Bama fans who periodically think of nothing else and he loves it. BTW, where did you go to save the world...?

I've been over in Coastal Mississippi, deploying some new GIS technology in the hurricane Katrina debris removal. It's still not going fast enough, but this could speed it up enough to get most if not all of it out of the way for the 2006 season.
