Milroe & Arnold & Hayes doing LANK song

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I did. I said in my 1st post in this thread 'Anyone'.

Just speaking for myself I'm not Anti-Milroe.

I'm Anti Drawing attention to yourself in a team sport and being about 'Me'.

I don't want to hear a peep about anybody on the team off the field unless it's something related to giving back in a charitable way...which to Jalen's credit there has been some of that in the past as well.

But I want the team to completely cut ties to everything last season.

'LANK' was not a good thing for our team and it still isn't.

What did we let people know? That we can't make the NCG with the most talented team in the country?

The ME-ness that is in our program need to be removed. I don't care if we have to go 7-5 to do it.
I don't see me-ness. I see players having a good time. It sure beats what went on the last few years, with player issues and attitudes.

I'll take a glass half full posture and say that considering our limitations last year, winning the SEC and vanquishing UGA was a huge success.

Maybe I'm just an old fart, but winning the SEC is goal #1 in my mind...everything that comes after that is just icing.

I wasn't happy with the way the season ended last year, but I'm still happy we had the success we had.
Believe me, those that don’t think last year’s SEC championship will be celebrated in years to come, will see. In this new era of college football, in its ever changing landscape, an SEC championship will be important. When you can buy a completely new roster each year, everything’s on the table.

I think it's precisely an outgrowth of that very thing that's been the problem. Much of this mental energy toward what others think. It's exactly what CNS was concerned about and retired because of.

The ME attitude after the Michigan loss was the tipping point for Saban.

Ms. Terry hosting the families at their house during recruiting trips dealt with the ME attitude as well.

It permeates society and it's deep in college sports since NIL got going.

There's no more....what can my child learn, how much will he grow as a man, etc. It's all about....how much will I get paid.

Right. CNS said those players wanted to talk about next years "pay" rather than next year's "play."

THIS did him in!

Well, no one is whining or complaining about anxiety. Not yet. LOL

Knock on wood. When we play in Knoxville I guess we'll see if the anxiety pops up. I don't think it will though, I think the atmosphere is much more relaxed.

And I'm thinking most of those players are those who transfered out. Bond and etc. From what I've seen, the current players seem to have a good attitude and work ethic.

Well 90% on here were shocked about the mass exodus in the offseason and totally dismissed any locker room drama without a link. But yet which side of the argument proved to be more right? The one’s with crimson colored glasses pumping sunshine that totally dismissed everything that people were pointing at internally or the ones saying that it was a miracle this team won 9 games with the nonsense going on inside?

Oh come on 81. Songs recorded by football players have an AMAZING track record. Remember how awesome the Seminole Rap was????
