Link: Mt. Cody wanted already?

Noooooooooooooooo

I true NT for the 3-4 is like the perfect QB in a certain offense....
Cody will be a hot pick for any team that runs the 3-4 without question, and I sure hope he comes back one more year, but if the 1st round is there waiting for Mt. Cody.
I couldn't blame the kid for following that dream at all........
If he does go pro his senior year, He will be a top 5 pick, I think.....

Guys, I think Mt. Cody absolutely LOVES it at Bama. However, would YOU turn down GUARANTEED MILLIONS for another year at Bama when you could get hurt?

How much more money do you really think he'd get offered after a big year next year than this year?

Who was the OL that was so dominating for us a few years back and went to Washington? He got 34 million I think.

I'm sure they'll sit down and figure out where he would draft after this season and advise him from there - Coach Saban has said before he loves to see his players succeed at the next level, so they work hard to give them the information they need to make the most informed decision.

Unless Cody is projected to go high/mid first round after this year, I can't imagine him forgoing his senior year...

This recent scare/injury probably makes it more likely that he will go if he gets a 1st round slot.

It's the only smart thing to do.

Isn't there going to be a rookie salary cap in the CBA next year? I think Stafford, Cody and others will end up leaving since a lot of the guaranteed money will be no more.

If we win the crystal football, all the high profile juniors will leave. If we fall just short, they will return for another run at the MNC.:BigA:

If Terrence is a projected first-round pick, especially top ten, he's gone for sure and I don't blame him one bit.

After the knee scare, who could blame him? He's one bad injury away in college from never getting his payday.

But for now I'm gonna enjoy him while we have him. :)

You are correct. The NFL does not want the highest paid players at a position to be rookies so this is the last year to get the huge rookie contracts. I believe guys that might have thought about staying one more year will go this year to get the big guaranteed money.

That is why I think Cody and Andre are most likely going, bar some unfortunate event. If we win the SECC or the MNC, then I'm 99% sure they are gone. If we fail one or the other or both, then there may be a chance they return for unfinished business.

I believe Andre is gone either way.

Assuming he is projected to go fairly high in the first round....

Would you honestly give up $5-10 million dollars of your own money so that BAMA might be able to win a SEC title or NC? I wouldn't and I don't think most of you would either. I love BAMA football, but if it came to me and my family being financially secure for life or BAMA maybe winning a title - that's a no-brainer, IMO.
