My New Mindset.

I have decided to embrace the new college football world. It has become the wild west, but instead of packing a six iron on our hip, we are wearing a money belt around our waist. Dog eat dog, every man for himself, a field of green carpet jungle.
It will require a change of mindset, to be sure. At seventy-eight years old I know this is going to be a challenge and I am not sure I am up to it. I am going to give it my best. I really do want to enjoy the game again.
I used to look at it as "our hoodlums just beat your hoodlums." Now I will think "our mercenaries just beat your mercenaries." Roll Tide.

I know the college football I grew up with is gone forever…that’s just a fact. All of us, shall I say “more mature” Bama fans, will just have to remember the good old days. Yes, I will tune in and watch just like all of you but with a small caveat…it doesn’t have the “do or die” feel to it anymore. Perhaps it’s just my age. Perhaps it’s just the changing world we live in. Perhaps it’s because of the quality or character of the product. Regardless, I look forward to the season beginning and watching spectacular plays being made by the Crimson and White team called Alabama.
