My USCe Experience

Wow!! I just wanted to find out if anyone else had the same types of issues as my husband. We ALL know there are CRAZY'S in every fan base. The fans on the way out were the worst issue. I can deal with traffic and have sat longer in Tuscaloosa trying to leave the game. I sure hope NO BAMA fan EVER ACTS like what we saw.
It sounds like a few fans had a great time considering the loss and that's the way it should be. Win or lose you shouldn't be attacked, called names, cursed going to your car or have your car, flags etc vandalized. Never seen anything like it. We went to Jacksonville in 2007 vs FSU. We lost and still had an enjoyable time becuase the fans didn't go crazy. I guess it makes a difference if you're ranked #1 in the country. As originally stated, I would go back, but my husband never will.

You need to take Bama off of your screen name.

Why, I was born in Tuscaloosa and am a lifelong Bama fan. Despite being a graduate of USC and a season ticket holder, I wore a Bama shirt to the game and cheered for the Tide (mixed feelings, but ultimately I was born a Bama fan, became a USC fan). My parents attended UA, and my uncle played one season for Bear Bryant (Bear's first year at Bama). I have only missed one Bama-UT game since 1983. I will be in Knoxville for the game this year with my brother and my daughter. Roll Tide.

Having been to 90% of USC's home games since 1983m I can genuinely tell you that the actions described are not typical for USC fans. Maybe it is just that they have not been there before and did not know how to handle it. I do not doubt for a second that some of the things described happened, but it was not widespread and is not typical.
