Not necessarily - RBs are not valued in the NFL.
Correct. No greater example than last year. Six total RBs taken in the first three rounds. One each in rounds 1 & 2. Four taken in round 3.
In today’s NFL, being the top rated RB in the draft doesn’t even guarantee being a first round pick.

Yet. It’s the person that handles the ball the third most on the team.

Crazy.

I never thought players leaving early with a 2nd round grade was a bad idea. The goal is to get to the NFL and make money. Though Harris would be in a lot better shape if he came back. So many backs ahead of him as well as possibly Cam Akers who not many mention. Come back next season and possibly be the top rb drafted

I think maybe he returns...
Same here. Deep positional pool at a low value position. If he got a worse than 3rd round grade, he’s gotta come back and have a complete season in 2020. I worry that if he’s drafted in the 4th round or worse that he’ll never have the buy-in you saw from the Titans to retool the offense around a bruising zone back. Teams are drafting fringe starters if not backups around that spot in the draft. They’re not going to be seeing you as a centerpiece.

When was Damien Harris drafted, 4th round? I can’t recall. I’m glad Josh Jacobs was drafted high. I’d love for Najee to stay but if he leaves I hope he gets on a good team.

Jacobs is the exact type of back the NFL wants. He’s fast, low center of gravity, compact but built, and strong.
OTOH, JJ's slowest 40 was 4.52, which was NH's fastest. IOW, they are in the same ballpark for speed. I don't see NH being that far behind JJ as a prospect. OTOH, I think he's one of those who might be able to better his draft position by coming back...

So if Najee were to come back who’s transferring? That would make Najee H, Brian R, Trey S, Keilan R, Jerome F, Jase McClendon, Roydell W, Kyle E. Would think that Townsend will move back to WR.

I believe Najee would benefit from another year at Bama. But I think he'll opt to enter the draft. I don't know his family situation or if there are other factors involved, but I wish him the best, whatever he decides.

Najee reminds me of Steven Jackson, a big back that’s a really good receiver coming out of the backfield. Jackson obviously had a great career, but I don’t know if that type of back is what teams are looking for anymore.
