According to clemson compliance office (via the State paper), they investigated and found nothing other than the website in question is notorious for fabricating stories like this.

I have no inside info, but I would be shocked if there was anything to this. I obviously do not like clemson, but Boyd has been a pretty good citizen up there as far as the public can tell.
