Newbie Sooner Here

Hello to all you Tide fans. I enjoy your board and registered last week before John Blake somehow found a lifesize Bob Stoops costume and engineered that pitiful performance on Saturday. I initially registered specifically to offer condolences to your state, school, and fanbase effected by Katrina. I made the trip to T-Town in '03 and was extremely impressed with the fans and environment. It was better than South Bend, Pasadena, Miami, New Orleans(puke!), or Lincoln. I'm probably a moron for coming here after this past Saturday (and was quite suprised to see the "OU lost" poll) but I still thought I should express my sorrow over the catastrophe. I'm sure its late and a hundred others have said the same but I feel for ya. A ten win season would do wonders for morale, Im sure. So good luck, you deserve it and are way over due to return to the scene. But if you dont win any other game, please beat the hell outta the Barn. Never had anything against them till last year. They are as Aggie as any fanbase in the country. Sorry for the short novel on the first post, let the Sooner jokes commence....

Sage, I think you'll find most here have a soft spot

for the Sooners. We were shocked at how the Sooners played Saturday. I watched part of the game (second half) and I was stunned. I think the D played fairly well but the offense, holy cow. They're in trouble. The offensive line got whipped pretty consistently and your QBs, they're the worst I've ever seen at OU. #12 (can't remember his name) has a cannon for an arm but absolutely no sense of touch on the ball. Unless your O line and QB play improve quite a bit, it will be a long year for the Sooners. Nevertheless, we (generally) pull for you guys. Good luck the rest of the way.

I don't remember who said it best in the poll, but...

we do like OU, however, we want anybody ranked above us to lose. Unfortunately for OU, that included you. I'm sure had the tables been reversed you would have said the same thing.
