Either way he admits a penalty should have been called, which would have negated the interception since the penalty occured prior to it.

I disagree with him though. Holding implies the DB was grabbing his jersey, or arm. This DB put his hands in his chest and pushed.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE REFREES SUCK #$%& AND THAT THEY WHERE DEFENTLY PAYED OFF. ROLL TIDE ROLL

HEY AUBURN, HEY AUBURN, HEY AUBURN, WHERE GOING TO BEAT THE $%^& OUT OF YOU RAMMER JAMMER YELLOW HAMMER GIVEM $%^& ALABAMA.

Just had an LSU fan at work tell me this was not pass interference. He said they could have called the DB for holding, but not PI. I almost got in a shouting match, I had to walk away disgusted. Now I cant concentrate.
Considering how late in the game even the commentators kept going back to how bad that no-call was, Id say he's got a losing argument.

HOW IN CRIMSON BLAZES DOES BOBBY GASTON KEEP HIS JOB?!?

Look at it this way--if the job performance of your 'division' was lousy, year after year, for at least the last four years, you'd have had your butt fired. I would, too.

But year in, year out, Bobby Gaston puts the country's WORST officials on the field, and year after year, at least two or three games' outcome are affected by it.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for Gaston to GO!
Dude like every Alabama fan there is agrees, or even sec fan should

Forgive me for getting all emotional, but it almost makes me want to cry to see this. Our players give their hurt and soul and then some for CMS and staff the past two years. These players have been most turmoilous three years in college football in recent or not so recent memory. They have a chance to upset a ranked team. They had the team on the ropes, using field position and defense to win the game. They should have been up 17-6 which does not put us in a position to fumble the ball inside the 10 (that my friends is a 14 point turn around!!!) This just makes me sick. With us being fans, imagine what the players and coaches are going through. This has got to be eating them up. I sure hope this lights an inferno inside their soul and they come out a surprise the nation this Saturday.

Man, I'm bummed.
All we can hope for is that it ignite a fire with gasoline for the game coming up Saturday vs. that really sucky team across the state. Roll Tide.

The 2 officials circled in the picture looks-like they are watching the ball and not the play. Then, another shot shows one official looking at the receiver on the ground and not calling the pass interference...this is deplorable; no excuse for this. A GREAT momentum changer that "probably" cost us the game.
Everyone better get their wins on us this year, because after this year we are going to start getting back on top where we belong and everything will be back to normal like it is supposed to be.

Here's the thing thr LSU players is looking at the ball so he's in a position where he's trying to make a play on the ball alos, the problem is that you cannot push the other player down in order to intercept. Because he's looking at the play, if he doesn't push our guy down its not pass interference, but because he pushed our guy down in order to make the play it is, and your right the two ref's are standing right there looking in, thise pictures should be sent to the SEC office.

two things are clear from those pictures.

1) webster is in position and looking at the ball. Good DB play.

2) the bama player is reaching out and grabbing webster as much as the opposite.

What is not clear in the pictures or on TV is whether the receiver tripped on his own or was pushed. The official must have felt like he tripped. No one can say for sure he did not.

Good no-call it appears.

that's un-friggin-believable. i only saw the one ref that was standing right there. now to see a picture with TWO referees within 10 yards of the play is complete bullcrap. they should be suspended from calling games for the rest of the season. we all just THOUGHT that the officiating was bad last year

It is...

the same pic, and we don't need another thread, so we'll merge these. However, Gaston said definitively this AM that neither one could see. So both of them had their eyes closed - even the one who turned his head to see Brown fall...

Stuff like this makes the conspiracy theory look that more reasonable. Everybody in the house saw it including all us on tv, but 2 refs standing right there looking straight at it cant see it and cant throw a flag. Somethings bad wrong here.
