Who was the last scholarship quarterback we had that never was a regular starter, but completed his full 4 -5 years with the team? I honestly don't know. I wanted to say that it was John David Phillips, but he actually started several games at the beginning of the '98 season.

Ahh... a chance to mention my favorite back-up QB of all time... Neb Hayden!

I would think Warren Foust. CGS recruited him to be a Jay Barker option type qb in '93 from Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Although all state in football, he won the state hurdles and high jump in track. He was also Oklahoma scholar athlete of the year. At Alabama he lettered as a freshman and sophomore as a qb but never started a game. He was all SEC Academic every year and even the ESPN scholar athlete of the game a couple of times
When CGS left and Dubose brought in Bruce Arians as OC, Warren moved to safety.
In his career he threw for a td, ran for a td, intercepted a pass, blocked a kick, but separated his shoulder when he destroyed the fla qb on a safety blitz on the first series at BDS in '96. I am drawing a blank on the fla qb but he was the one who appeared on the bacherlor show and is now the ESPN announcer.

Jesse Palmer would be the QB.
