If I'm POTUS, I'm going to take little Kim's threats seriously. But there's really no sense in wasting a nuke and taking a chance of spreading radioactivity to the other Southeast Asian nations. So just for show, I'm going to fly a B2 over his HQ and drop a MOAB right in his lap.

Whatever we decide I would hope we pull all of our people out first. No more Americans need to die for South Korea IMO.

I don't know why we're still there in the first place. The South is perfectly capable of handling this on their own.

Personally, I loved the fact that their strategic attack map was a large piece of paper essentially tacked to a pole. High class, NK, high class.

I suspect that while he doesn't want war, Obama won't hesitate to hammer the idiot fatboy from NK if need be. Funny how people still call him 'weak' when he's been pretty decisive wrt taking out folks (pirates, OBL) and certainly hasn't hesitated in hammering people with drone strikes. A black-and white issue where he can drop the hammer? I suspect he's ready to roll.

I don't care for a lot of President Obama's ideas and policies, but I think he'll handle this well. I'm betting if this had happened under GWB, we'd be at war right now. Is that really what anyone wants?

Good insight, CA. I am pretty much an isolationist at heart and as such am against the sandbox wars of the last two administrations. In this situation, however, I could not fault the POTUS for military action if forced. Although the whole Libyan situation was a failed gut-check, I think his overall track record supports the view that he will strike if needed.

Two things here IMO

The new little fatty in NK is being shown the line not to cross.

We might be better served sending over non-stop flights of B2's loaded down with hamburgers to drop to the starving citizens of that country. A sustained Berlin airlift type campaign might stir up enough civil unrest at home to force the dear leader to deal with it instead of his ridiculous posturing.
