If Miss St (without winning the SEC) and OSU both win out, I'm one of those who think that OSU will jump MSU and make it into the playoff. I don't think that OSU would deserve it more. I just think that's what the committee will do. When the championship games are over, I think they'll fall back on the arguement that OSU won their conference.
 
The committee is clearly devaluing wins if the opponent you beat loses later on. I'm not sure I like that method as it seems very revisionist and manipulative. Strength of schedule should be a better indication of a team's body of work, IMO. Not this week to week, moving target.

I've also noticed that some teams get compared not only by who they win or lose to, but by who their opponent won or lost to, and so on. It gets hypothetical pretty quickly.

Like, sure Team A beat Team B, but Team B barely beat Team C who lost to a 2-7 Team D...so Team A cant be that good. Really? Team D has any bearing on Team A? Only if you extrapolate it out to the nth degree. Which is flawed IMO.

She does seem to know her stuff, but how old is she? Every time I see her she looks like she's a Jr. High School kid interning for the local ABC affiliate.
 
It appears she graduated from U Michigan in 2011, so I feel a little better now... Thanks Catfish, for making me feel old, then okay, then bad at math, and now old again.

LOL! One night, one of the guys in my men's group brought his little girl, who was around five, to the meeting. He had picked her up from some after-school activity and his wife, who had to work late was picking her up from where we were. We all commented to him that she was such a beautiful little girl, kidding him that she OBVIOUSLY took after her mother. :biggrin2: He took her outside when his wife pulled up, and while he was gone, one of the guys kind of lit into us about how inappropriate and "ungodly" it was to comment on the attractiveness of a child that young. Everybody just stared at him. I wanted to tell him that his feeling that way probably said a lot more about him than it did us, but I try to mind my manners in men's group and play well with the humans.

He was just working on hating everybody. The force was strong with that one...

Perhaps. However, the representatives from Auburn and FSU have provided a statement for Jeff Long to read to dispute that frivolous rumor.
