O/T A quick ? about clicking on ads

I have been reading this board for a while before I took the plunge and joined this great group of Tide fans. I noticed a few times when the moderators would urge everyone to "click on an ad". My question is: If I don't buy anything from the ads, but click on them anyway, does that help keep this site free?

just clicking (even without buying) helps. Of course buying AFTER clicking may help more , and probably does, dependent on what the commission structure is like.
