Hey ive been hearing alot about this cornerback can anyone give me any info about him. All ive heard is how fast he is. Do you guys see him playing as a true freshman.

If he commits to us, i doubt it. Not with Castille and Bino coming back.

I don't think we want to see him play as a true freshman but it is a possibility I suppose. We'll have several DBs returning.

He could come in and battle for a backup spot. Bino is going to be a senior, Castille will be a junior. Pretty good odds for someone willing to work hard, learn the position and wait their turn..

I will add that it seems that Lionel Mitchell's status is right now up in the air, so our depth next season is going to be very young and inexperienced. There may very well be a spot for someone to step in and contribute. However, I think he might have to be in the top three or four CBs to keep from redshirting next year, and that is not likely to happen if Mitchell comes back healthy. Plus, Coger and Johnson are nothing to sneeze at as corners. Coger was a steal in this class IMO.

I don't know if it's still an issue, but he was held out of the last several games of the regular season with what Shula continually called 'headaches'. You never like to hear that from a football player, particularly given the way some guys just seem to get concussions very frequently. Hopefully he will be 100%, I just don't like hearing a guy is having head injuries. We've had at least a couple of guys have to give up football the past couple of years because of it (Wingo and Clint Johnston).

Lionel was in on 40 plays in the first 5 games before sustaining a head injury that has only been described as headaches. His injury/condition is not thought to be career-threatening.

I hope you're right, bayou. Those things (head injuries) just have a way of lingering for some guys.
