The defense is allowing the offense to take some chances down field, and I like how the defensive line is doing less read and react and more coming up field that was part of our soft problem last year, thank you Kevin Steele.

Exactly. Shaky versus MTSU. Joyless murder ball doesn’t care about the opponent, it kills indiscriminately. He’s got to hit the open guys.

I like It so far. Better discipline. Receivers catching the ball. I know we’re not playing a powerhouse, but that hasn’t stopped them from wetting the bed the last couple of years.

First downs and out of bounds only stop the clock in the last 2 minutes of each half

No back-to back TOs and no free time-free downs when a Quarter ends on a defensive penalty. The down carries over to the next quarter. All of it gives more time for commercials. So far, I can't tell that it's shortened the game...

I'm really interested to see what CNS and CTR do with JM in the second half. He played about as close to a perfect half as you can.

I'm torn because I didn't expect him to look this solid. But I still think it would be good for at least #2 to get reps too since we are so early.
