On the clapping, both sides are guilty of that. Here's Anfernee Jennings trying it.
nice try getting us to watch the whole debacle againOn the clapping, both sides are guilty of that. Here's Anfernee Jennings trying it.
Stupid thing won't embed correctly. Go to 35:40.
The clapping to induce a snap is extremely difficult to police. Look at the second replay in that link. You'd have a hard time justifying flagging Tray on that one. He wasn't even set, but trying to get attention or signal someone.Even the New England Patriots had an early snap in their game that led to a Miami td. Not sure how you completely avoid it...
Guys, I have a confession to make. The loss wasn’t on the coaches or the players. It is completely and totally my fault. The last 2 years the day before any game, I have worn a Bama polo. I have failed to do that twice the last 2 years. I forgot before Clemson last year and this year before the Iron Bowl. I sincerely apologize and will accept my punishment as everyone sees fit.
I knew someone did something different Saturday. I appreciate you stepping up and taking the blame for the loss.Guys, I have a confession to make. The loss wasn’t on the coaches or the players. I had no idea about the JC injury being because he was punched in the face.
Did not know that either. That whole article just made me angry all over again.I had no idea about the JC injury being because he was punched in the face.
Thank you for posting this! This is a voice of reason. Execution on both sides of the ball was the fundamental factor.I posted this in Jess’s thread but thought it would fit here as well. This guy gives a great breakdown of the turning points of this game. After reading it, I don’t feel so bad. This was a close, hard fought game that turned on about 4 or 5 plays in which individual effort by the barn or individual gaffes by us made the difference.

Four national championships. Does your life depend on beating Auburn? Pathetic.Jess' post-Iron Bowl analysis was harsh but completely true.
Cpach Saban is 0-7 against Barn teams that have won 9 games.
The Barn teams Coach Saban has beaten have been a cumulative 47-42 (52.8% winning percentage). Coach Jack Leavenworth (who?) has a better winning percentage against the Barn than Coach Saban.
Coach Saban has worked miracles in almost every aspect of the job.
His work against the most important single game each season (because it is the last game each regular season and has a huge influence over the chances of being national champs) has been pedestrian to poor. He needs to reel off a half a dozen wins against the Barn to get his record against the Barn up to the same level as his success in other fields.
Puzzling and very disappointing.
