Game Thread: OFFICIAL POST-GAME THREAD - Bama vs. Clemson...

I still think we would beat Oklahoma if we would've played them..We simply don't lose to teams we play & we had lost to them the last time we played against them..Just ask Clemson..
You would have killed the Sooners if you played them yesterday. Your standard defensive approach is the one that they waited until after halftime to employ. And they would not have been able to slow your RPO running game. You would have scored 50-60 points in regulation without throwing a pass.

I honestly do not remember seeing many downfield passes last night from Jalen. There was the one to Ridley on the flea flicker, one to Robert Foster that Foster didnt catch, one to Cam Sims that he didnt catch, and the one to Ruggs that was a completion. Of course the TD by Ridley and Payne but I really dont remember many downfield passes that were attempted. Was Clemson pressuring Hurts too much and plays couldnt develop?

My impression was Hurt's first concern was not to throw interceptions. Most of the passes were thrown down, hard to catch but hard to intercept as well. I am guessing but on some of the passes where he held the ball and then scrambled was probably because he was erring on the side of caution.

And with the way our defense was playing, that was the best strategy. Turnovers would have been far more damaging than missing on those third down conversions.

Just got home from New Orleans, really enjoyed the trip. Didn't meet anyone unfriendly. Froze my butt off and I really didn't know what to expect from Bourbon St. It was a lot dirtier and nastier than I pictured but we had fun. Our seats in the stadium were on the 45 yard line about 8 rows from the very top but the view was great. Didn't appear there were any bad seats, just small seats. Really enjoyed the win, I'm keeping my streak alive! (I've never seen them lose in person)

I assume you will be in the stadium in Atlanta on Monday ?

The French Quarter is a big open air outhouse. It’s disgusting.

Yeah and I'm way passed my years of wanting to party. I had one beer around 6pm. And we stayed to 11pm at some piano bar. 11pm was 12pm my time, first time I've seen the ball drop in 10 years...lol

Bourbon Street is for the French Quarter and New Orleans what Panama City is for the Florida Panhandle - primarily for college aged and/or cheap tourists.

Frenchman Street is where you want to go for evening/late-night music, food, and libation. Uptown is where you want to go for daytime food and shopping.

I always felt like I needed a three day shower followed by delousing and 24 hour soak in Purell after a trip to The Big Sleazy.

It`s a shame that the only part of New Orleans that a lot of people know is the Quarter. Down St. Charles, the Garden District, Uptown, Magazine, etc., etc, etc. , lots to see and do. Lived there for a number of years. Never went to the Quarter except with tourists/visitors in tow. That`s not where you`ll find the natives!

When's the last time you went to Panama City Beach? There has been a ton of development down there over the last decade. Granted we never visit during Spring Break, but when we go there are no college aged kid shenanigans going on and it's a family friendly atmosphere. Now, I may be a cheap tourist per your description, but I've never felt it was a dirty place in the same way that I've always heard Bourbon Street described as.

PCB is what it is, but comparing it to the filth of the majority of the French Quater is just ill informed. As too the shenanigans, the PCB city council and county commission have adopted some rather strong ordinances in recent years that have completely changed the face of Spring Break. So much so that several bar owners are suing in federal court.

Sorry to derail the thread

Wow, perhaps you're reading a bit too much into the analogy.

My basic point was simply that the grownups with experience, i.e., that know better, go somewhere else.
