Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama@TAMU...

Not to beat this to death, but Milroe is like being in a relationship with a girl where she rarely gets freaky with you but when she does it's something fantastic and out of this world that if offset by the fact she has bad gas 90% of the time and walks into streetlights constantly because she can't put the damn I-phone down.

Quite frankly, that's the entire Alabama team at this point.

Well, Milroe, Burton, the OL and the entire D won this game. The DL has been a real surprise to me. This team is mentally tough - has tremendous heart, grit and pluck.

Jase is playing well and smart, though an inadequate blocker. Hopefully, Haynes will get the call as his backup. His less than stellar blocking can hardly be worse than Jase’s and IMO, he is the best runner on the team.

JM and Burton raised their game. OL is finally improving too but got to clean up those penalties.

I'd love to see Haynes play and what about Jam Miller? I"ve been really disappointed in the running back as a whole. Would like to see the young bucks get a chance.

Milroe has advanced faster as a qb than Rees as a play caller. And i was one of the ones thinking milroe would cost us 3 games this season. He has won me over to an extent. Im still not 100% sold but he has made slight improvements over each game. I still think he can be helped out by some safety valve throws but like Blake Sims he just keeps improving little bit by little bit.
He is the best we have and played very well.
Milroe looked really good on one drive. Why can’t he be that affective the whole game. It is really frustrating.
Milroe. 21 of 33, 321 yds, 3 touchdowns! Come on, man.

He’s getting better and better. He has to fix taking sacks. Some of those where on him. Tuck it and run Jalen. You’re too talented not to
He hesitates in his decisions. I think he wants to make big plays, but hesitation gets him sacked. Sometimes not his fault.

I agree about playing the other RBs. I love Jase and Roydell, but I’d like to give the other guys a shot. Was watching UK play last week and their RB #1and he’s such a great runner. Instinctive. Finds holes that don’t seem to be there. I’m hoping we have someone like that on our roster.

He looked better in the second half when he got into a rhythm on hitting some of those short and medium routes.

I was pretty shocked. Don't know if those were his first reads (suspect they were) but he got the ball out pretty fast on most of those.

Then he threw the terrible INT.

But he's making progress despite the mistakes.

I believe JM saw the receiver was wide open and was just trying to toss it out there to him BUT he got so excited he threw him a one-hopper.

He obviously didn't consider what would happen if it was incomplete NOR did he consider all he needed was 3 knees.
I prefer not to single out individual players when they do something so "Barney Fife" that I am amazed they start on the 1st team.

On the other hand, I dont see one lick of leadership on the offensive line including the QB he is calling the plays. Yes some of the calls were BS by the refs but watching out center double clutch snapping the ball is unacceptable for a center, snap the ball . With all the crowd noise how many times have they practiced this.

I for one am praying for an once in the lifetime defense, because this offense is a best middle of the road with road runner flashes that keeps them from getting killed. Truth be told I really prefer the defense playing lights out ball. We knew they could be good and they proved it today. Just how good remains to be seen and how much will the offense help them if the offense wakes up then we have the potential to play in the post season .. I listened to the game and Chris Stewart and the x bama player did a pretty good job. I stil miss Eli, I must be getting old.

If I didn’t have to hold my breath every time we have the ball I would feel better about him. You never know what to expect.

I don't think our RB corps is up to previous seasons' standards. McClellan is the best we have. He has good speed, good vision, good strength. He's usually reliable in pass protection. I don't think anyone else we have shows anything special.

Our OL issues are a big part of RB performance compared to previous teams, but they are getting better while the guys carrying the rock... not so much. Jess's previews haven't ranked our RB's over our opponents yet this season (I think; ICBR).

Can we win a title without a Heisman hopeful at RB?
