****Official Postgame Thread - Bama v. Florida ****

Maybe Charlie Weis can sell that damaged kitchen sink at a garage sell. One thing is certain...."We ain't Kentucky."

Well if you look back at the score predictions I said numerous time 48-3. Which it could have been. I know we look for perfection cause we are Bama fans but last night was about as good as you can get against a Very Good Florida team. To hit the way they did & come out with no injuries is testament to their conditioning.

I dnot know what it is with us in the 3rd Qtrs, but I am glad we figure it out by the 4th.

I said the TE would play a big role, & I think we will see even more (IMO) this unit is the best in the country.

Great to see TR have his break out game against one of the best D's in the SEC.

AJ looked like Cool Hand Luke.

This D is more like the 92 team to me they can turn a game around with one play.

Sorry so long Roll Tide!

Offensive line showed up and dominated the line of scrimage. AJ managed the game well. Trent and Upshaw were beasts, and the defense shut down a highly touted offense. Great win on the road, RTR!

I got blasted this past week on some other boards when I said UF's D does not deserve all the love they were getting because playing teams like UT or UK are not UA. They had not played anyone really until last night. We just man handled them with ease. They had no answer for our D.

We also now know why Wilson last week was setup to get rid of the ball so quickly and never went down field but went for short passes. Because Brantley and Driskel found out what happens when you hold onto the ball to long in the pocket. The pocket becomes a feasting table for our D. Meats on menu boys.

In two weeks we have seen the best WR corps in the country and the fastest RB duo and shut both down. I do not think any team will find an easy solution for scoring on us. And after last night my concerns with LSU are fading. Still alot of football left but usually CNS teams get better as the season continues and it will be scary if that happens with team. Because right now I like what I see. RTR

Still the officiating last night was eight shades of terrible. Florida should be hacked off, too. Get that fumble/touchdown call right, we still win and Brantley's walking on both legs today.

Going into this game, I felt our defense could handle UF's offense okay, as they've faced Demps & Rainey before and realistically thats where UF's hopes were pinned because while Brantley has improved he hasn't looked all-world even against lesser competition, it was always UF's speed that gave them the advantage on other teams.
My questions or concerns was really with our offensive line, the running game which most have been critical of at times, and how AJ would respond in such an environment.
This team handled all of it beautifully and basically just beat UF down in every phase of the game with the defense and our running game leading the way. Just a great game other than Brantley getting hurt which I hated to see.
The officiating is reaching new levels of bad in some of these games. There should have been an explanation on the Brantley fumble and it was totally mishandled. Even Verne & Gary couldn't figure that one out.

Living here in Pensacola, I dont need to tell all of you how overjoyed I am by the way we played. Only sorta complaint would be the kickoffs not going deep enough, but we won all 3 phases of the game and rather convincingly. RTR!

Re: ****Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. Florida...****

The 09 team struggled at times (USCe and UT)

I don't foresee that happening. This team is better than the 09 team was at this point.

Well I was referring more to the similarities in how the teams play, but I will agree that I think this team is slightly ahead of where that '09 team was at this point. And I don't think there's much doubt that this team is deeper and more talented across the board IMO.
