The Coach of the Year awards are going to guys who magically find a unicorn in the woods. Nick Saban isn’t going to get much credit for running the unicorn farm.

The Alabama-Georgia game turned out to be the most watched "regular season" game in 7 years. I'm not sure why CBS considers it regular season but nevertheless:

It’s unreal that he never wins it anymore. Last year was inexcusable theft. With the injuries we had and still win it all was a WHOLE different realm of brilliance from CNS.

I hoped that the rivalry could be raised a couple of notches, just as I hoped with the UT regime change. However, you're still left with a whining fan base which claims they've been officiated out of a championship because the SEC HQs are located in B'ham. Damn! I wish we could get them relocated to Nashville or Atlanta or even NOLA, just so they could learn that it doesn't make a damned bit of difference...

The SEC offices were in Birmingham when.....

1) JJ Meadors trapped that ball in the 95 Arky game
2) we got called for a ticky tack defensive hold in the 00 Arky game
3) we got called for an insane celebration penalty in the 03 Arky game
4) Curtis Brown's TD was taken from us in the 95 Auburn game
5) Ole Miss did NOT get called for targeting on Hurts in the 16 Ole Miss game


And I could list a dozen more with time to think through each game.


So...did the SEC offices magically move to different cities through the years in the middle of games?
Or does this have absolutely NOTHING to do with it at all?

Apparently, they consider "regular season" as anything not National Championship playoff. They may not have wanted to limit that stat to just Conference championship games. But they could have worded it differently to include both.
