Re: * ****Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. Arkansas****

I still strongly dislike Gary and Verne. They are horrible. After many posts by yours truly in reference to our O-line's play the first three games, let me put those words on a toasted bun and shove them down my own fat mouth. Very good game from the O-line, way to step up in a big game. Now back to Spongebob and Patrick, I mean Gary and Verne, they are horrible, or did I mention that already. Hope that everyone heals up the next few days and good luck to Arkansas the rest of the year. Rammer Jammer and lets go whichever Florida school is playing the boogs.

I've warmed up to Gary, but poor Verne....oh lord...he's lost.

Our D is fast and the pressure we are getting on QBs is incredible. We might not be getting the sacks but because of how fast we to the QB, Wilson could never set up long passing plays. Everything had to be dump and short for him. We basically took away all their big time WRs from making those big plays they usually do.

I also was wrong in the pickem thread. I only had UA by 17, missed a TD. Oh well. 8)

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! I am so proud of the team! Marquis Maze comes to mind, not to mention Trent Richardson and many others!! I was not into the comments from CBS reporters Verne and Gary though!

Guys we know we've had a great game when all we can complain about is the announcers. LOL. I actually though is was one of their better called games.

Very, very, very impressed with Kirkpatrick's play today. He has come light-years since he was a freshman. He has become a great cover corner that all of a sudden is hitting like a Mack truck!

That is a good observation and one I was thinking about during the game. With a lot of teams, there are cover corners and safeties. The cover corners don't like to tackle. Think of one famous one whose name rhymes with "neon." CNS's corners hit! The amazing thing is that, except for fall camp scrimmages, we don't practice tackling to the ground. We use the "thud" method, where wrapping up isn't required. I thought, in the beginning, that it wouldn't work. Wrong!

Totally agree...Dre had a big game, imo but thought our secondary played extremely well across the board; CNS & our defense has taken "being physical" to another level. And Upshaw met Tyler Wilson a few times to say hello. They LOVE TO HIT and I love it!!!!!!! They are so much fun to watch.

Maybe that's why we see so many non game injuries...perusing the sites I've seen a ton of them.
