****Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. GSU****

I was holding my breath waiting to get lambasted by the national folks....but the first thing out of Brando's mouth when they ran our highlights was (rightfully) that GaSouthern was a QUALITY FCS opponent. So maybe this won't be as bad as I thought.

We played hard. It seemed like they spread the field so much that our linebackers couldn't keep up at times. They would beat the Mississippi schools and destroy Kentucky no doubt. Probably beat Auburn too.

Yeah, I heard that. Let's hope ESPN follows suit.

GSU reminds me of some of Coach Bryant's early 70's teams when Johnny Musso was running all over everyone. We will focus now on the barn and take care of that in one week. Good game RTR.

Wow!! Wow..

Trent with an emotional interview. Said his aunt passed away during the Mississippi State game and her last breath was watching him run.

“I have got a whole ‘nother year,” he said. “I’m not worried about anything else. I’m going to be here for a whole ‘nother year. I’m just ready to stay here and play football.”

Good game but I'm glad we dont have to face that style offense again.

Seems like Vandy stuck with it the longest in the SEC, when we played them annually. We played the bend but don't break offense today for the most part. Maybe more speed and less size, with another d-back on the line would have helped, but then again I am not playing to not lose the game, which is off most importance for us.

I guess that sometimes not being nationally televised can be your friend although even if we did give up way to many yards (and points), 45-21 is still not too shabby.

I just don't see it happening, no matter what he may be thinking at this moment. He has children to take care of.

Knowing people who have been around him while he was growing up, and from what I can gather through the P'cola grapevine, don't be surprised if he stays. Guy has serious focus and determination, and if he wants to stay another year at Bama and is able to do so, it's a done deal. I ain't saying he will...he's saying it.

Being selfish (after all, my name is Self), I'd love to see him stay. For his own good, he needs to go. He's not superhuman. One chop at his knee and his career could be over. He's given us more than enough...

Believe it or not but QB's and RB's are apples and oranges. One has a much shorter shelf-life.

Find a top 8 draft pick RB who stayed for his senior year in the past 8 years.

There aren't many who have had the supporting cast TR has had, either. He had MI last year. If Lacy stays, and DH gets healthy, I don't think TR gets worn out. There are enough totes to go around with those three.
But it's his decision, and he will make the one that's right for him and his family.
