Well, this is just too ugly to comment on. The refs made sure we never could get into any rhythm. Hope the world never has to see those refs do a college basketball game again.

Tough loss. Just one of those game unfortunately. We will be out of the top 10 unfortunately, especially if Arkie beats LSU.

Arkansas outscored us by 24 points at the free throw line. They attempted 35 more free throws than Bama.
Absolutely ridiculous.

But we took so many bad shots.

Why won’t Coach Oats call a TO to stop a run by the other team? Arky’s Coach did it to us two or three times, which killed our momentum. Seems CNO is loathe to do so.

I cannot get over the sneaky bad feeling of three straight poor showings against ranked teams. How good are we really? The refs are gonna suck in the tournament too...

Hopefully we recover as we have all year and win these last two as well as the SEC title.

And yes, that was the worst refereed game I’ve seen in a long time and it ruined what should have been a great game and a showcase game for the SEC.

Ark shot 43 free throws, we shot 8.
We were whistled for 32 fouls (plus some T's), Ark for 18.
You will not win any game when those two stats are that one-sided.

Rant and rave about this one for an hour or so and then take out our frustration by beating Miss. State, little else can be done.

Thanks for this perspective. It's possible for the refs to be bad and us to play bad too. Both are true. We can't do anything about the refs, but we've got to get out of the funk. We aren't playing well right now. Not a good scenario for entering post season tourneys.

I continue to harp on the PG play. Didn't really see anything tonight to change my mind.

I get your frustration but don't forget, we beat this same team handedly on our turf. It was just one fo those games. Still the better team imo BUT these are the experiences we have to learn from to apply in the tourney. This is one of the few times the refs called such a tight game, so how do we react to that in a game. It got in our heads and understandably so BUT you still have to not let your emotions get the best of you and play through it to win. Tough loss, tough lesson, on to the next one

Shackleford has been where we get a lot of points lately and he got the early fouls, ditto Herb and that was why we played as poorly as we did. Those two have to be out there.
